Checkin was busy when we arrived and there was only one person at the desk. It is a just above average hotel as airport hotels go. Nice views of the old aircraft on the apron of the old airport. I think a bit of information about the history of the hotel/airport would help too. The reception staff need to find personalities.

Spacious room. Good sound proofing, It's on a main road with a bus stop outside, but with the windows closed, the road noise outside was very minimal. Very comfortable bed. I didn't use the restaurant part so can't comment on the food. But the area for the bar and restaurant did look very nice indeed.

Lovely staff. Easy to find and park. Clean room. Nice breakfast with a good choice of options including cooked and buffet toast, cereal and croissants. Well worth the price for one night in easy access of Widnes.
