Henley is such a memorable town for us as I was at school there and grew up in the area. So for me it is well worth visiting.
We were disappointed with the river as it has (like so many other rivers) been flooded this year so we could not go for our usual walk along the River Thames which is so amazing.

Great place to walk around and see the boats on the river Thames, lovely old pubs and restaurants.
Probably would get very overwhelmed when the Henley regatta is on. Car parks could get a little overcrowded.

Fantastic location for the Rewind South 80's festival,...
Fantastic location for the Rewind South 80's festival, didn't get to experience much that the rest of the town had to offer.
Seemed to be a general disconnect between the event management who knew how many tickets were sold, and the council/private business in providing services to accommodate that size crowd. For example: (1) event itself was cashless, but riverboat transport to & from only took cash, and no working ATM's in the town. This caused a lot of issues for a lot of people. (2) No temporary lighting along the river path despite knowing the path would be used by hundreds of people each night in the dark. The path is very narrow and not maintained in several places. (3) Disconnect between the advertised times of the boat service in the event literature vs the actual running times, left groups of people stranded last thing at night, then having to walk back along that very dark path

Beautiful town, with lovely small shops and very good restaurants. My daughter just moved here so we are delighted. It feels very safe and it is very clean. The Regatta was on so we enjoyed one day there and currently there is a music festival on. SO its rather busy right now.

A lovely little town to walk around especially along the river. You don’t need more than half a day unless you want to explore places outside the center. It has good boutique shops but no high street cheap fashion brands as it’s quite an upmarket little town. But it does have Boots, W H Smiths and Starbucks and a lot of good choices for eating. Have breakfast at Bijans, take a long walk along the river, lunch at The Bull, walk around the town and the dinner at The Giggling Squid.

Friendly staff and it started off well, beautiful place all though very tight roads to get in, it then went downhill with a 5am fire alarm and unable to get out of the building we are contacting the hotel to discuss this with the manager who handle it badly, we were left frightened and unsure of what to do, although the manager concerned will contradicted this review, there were major problems with escaping the building luckily there was no fire, but if it had of been I hate to think what would have happened.
The stag&huntsman is located in a “chocolate box” village close to Henley on Thames used as a location in many films and in midsomer murders. It has a lovely post office and store with local produce. The Stag is wonderful with rustic spacious rooms many with baths, great food and the loveliest helpful staff. It is also pet friendly and in my opinion one of the best in the area
The vegan Thai Red Curry is my personal favourite. Can’t recommend this place highly enough
Lovely little cottage in a brilliant location. Quiet spot despite being so close to town centre. Very well equipped kitchen. Double room really comfy. Not the weather for outdoors, but the backyard was really sweet. I often visit Henley and the hotel options are so limited, if you don’t want to pay £££ It was a really good alternative!
Lovely room overlooking a very pleasant walled garden. Very close to Henley for eating out.
Very nice breakfast bar area, we had a choice of four different breakfasts. Although we had to wait a while for breakfast to be served!
We had to leave quite early so it felt a little slow the service!.
But we would be glad to stay again
The hotel is in a beautiful location, very peaceful and quiet. You can just relax in the hotel grounds all day.
My room was very good size and very clean. The staff were nice and polite. The hotel is easily accessible by bus (not by foot though). There are also nice lounge areas to sit, read a book, have a drink.
Excellent location to the centre of Henley on Thames. Excellent welcome on our arrival.
Small facility which due to the current Covid risk was so reassuring. Quiet and peaceful location. We was on a budget so the cost was perfect for us, however The Row Barge is a very quirky pub with so much character.
Our room was comfortable and well equipped, with a short flight of stairs to the courtyard. The hotel location is hard to beat, if you are looking for a town centre location - just a short stroll to the Thames. Also a good base for exploring the surrounding beautiful area.
The location was in the centre of town, round the corner from the bus stop and very close to the river. The room was spacious with comfortable armchairs and coffee table and heating which we could control ourselves. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The location was in a peaceful area of Henley on Thames. The studio flat had every thing you needed and the attention to detail gets a 10 out of 10. You could walk into the centre of Henley and the river Thames all in all it was all first class.
Can't fault any part of the hotel facilities or staff, beautiful place to stay. It was my partners birthday and I had organised for flowers and they were in he room together with a lovely card from the staff. She was made to feel very special.
As its a weatherspoons hotel, you can get pretty drunk for cheap. And your room is just staggering distance. Yeah the place is a bit of a maze, but that's just part of the fun. The staff is pretty amazing and the bed is very comfy.
This place was different from anywhere else we stayed. The beds were comfortable. The windows opened for fresh air, yet it was quiet. It was convenient to walk to town centre and the river. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Good communication with the hosting agent. Clear instructions were provided. Our business colleagues had a comfy place to stay while working at Henley. Thank you. Kevala Stairs Team
