The room was comfortable and had everything I needed including a great shower and TV I could connect my phone to. A bottle of fresh milk in the fridge was also a welcome surprise as were the biscuits!

The hotel rooms are nicely decorated and have a cosy feel. My room was a good size, the bed was big and comfortable. It had everything I needed, including complimentary gin, which is a nice touch. Staff were helpful and friendly. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was very nice.

Hindhead is my birth place. I love it!
Hindhead is my birth place. I love it! the National Trust have done wonders. the whole area around the Punchbowl is absolutely beautiful, there are numerous walks and lovely places to sit. every season is special. the miracle of the A3 being taken away to a tunnel is just amazing. the walk to Gibbet Hill is lovely. an easy walk that takes us to over 900 feet above sea level. the views are amazing. on a good day one can see London. the Exmoor ponies have made such a difference, parts of the area look like the New Forest, another favourite place.
apart from the Hotel restaraunt there are no eateries in the evening which is a shame, but Haslemere and Grayshott are not too far away.

Friendly welcoming and hardworking staff.
Friendly welcoming and hardworking staff. Restaurant was packed and obviously popular. We only had breakfast which we thought below average. Very little choice.
Accommodation is very dated. Lots of furniture and fittings in our room broken. Needs huge investment on the accommodation side. Everything felt and smelt damp.
Very good location and excellent customer service so deserves to do better.

This is an area I know from childhood in the 1960s and although the views across the National Trust land remain with only slight encroachment from development, the access via the official National Trust car park is not attractive and the main walks are of course busy with dog walkers and cyclists.
In my personal judgement, the area has become more of a pleasant amenity for the fortunate people who live in the area and I would not rank it as a tourist attraction.

Only saw a small part as was mostly hiking, but there was a lovely pub in the next village called the fox and flamingo.
The national trust park of devil's punchbowl and surrounding heaths, commons and forests are beautiful.
Plenty of walks for all abilities.
The hotel was well located for what I wanted to do (explore Devil's Puncbowl, Hindhead Common, Frensham lakes). It was a quiet location, but still walkable to restaurants and the local pub (as well as having an on-site bar and restaurant). Make no mistake, this isn't a premier inn, and the decor is rather dated, but it is clean and comfortable and suited what I wanted it for. The food I had for breakfast and dinner was excellent, tasty and reasonably priced.
Despite the hotel being run down, possibly in the throes of renovation, our room was clean & comfortable & we had a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, well-cooked and plentiful. We had travelled by bike and indoor storage was provided for the bikes. It seems this was the only hotel for miles & an excellent location for those undertaking the King Alfred's Way cycle route.
We needed a convenient hotel for a local 1 night stay. The room had a new bed which was very comfortable. We did not have breakfast. The hotel needs a lot of investment - they are starting in the downstairs bar and eating areas. These looked fine but there is a lot to do. Ideal for a short stay and at £77 a night for a double room you pay for what you get.
Comfortable room and bed with good modern shower. Breakfast looked good, though we didn't have it as we were meeting friends. Good bar and excellent restaurant. Very easy to find, as the National Trust's Devils Punch Bowl is next to the hotel and well signposted. Situated in a very nice area and only ten minutes from Haslemere. Excellent value for money
This is a great spot for walking on Hindhead Common and The Devils Punchbowl. Our dog was made to feel welcome, the property was spotless and the kitchen well stocked with little extra goodies like milk, crumpets and even Easter Eggs. Jackie was lovely too. We used the washing machine as this was at the end of a trip away and all worked well.
Excellent location for exploring the local area. The room was spacious, well furnished. The staff were really excellent and the breakfast good. The hotel decor was better than we had expected from past experience of it. Despite having a party on, we had been put far enough away from it for there to be no issue with noise.
Hotel is in a great location and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a cooked breakfast on both mornings which was good value and ate in the restaurant for one meal. The meal was really nice and good value for money.
Excellent hotel close to the Devil's Punchbowl so great location. Comfortable, spacious rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Hotel has nice atmosphere. Dinner in restaurant superb. All in all very good value for money.
Location and parking was good. The downstairs of the hotel had been updated. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable and bedding and towels nice and soft. Nice man on reception checking us in was very helpful.
The hotel is being refurbished so our expectations were not high. It was very good value with a pretty good breakfast at a reasonable price.
The room was fine for the one night with a comfortable bed.
