The hotel is beautiful, the view is amazing. The restaurant staff was really friendly and welcoming. Everyone was polite and professional. The food was amazing.

The breakfast was simple but still very tasty. I did wish it was available till 11 or 12 though, rather than 10

The Guest House was well located, not far from central town and right on the SWCP. The hosts were very welcoming and allowed me to drop off my rucksack earlier than expected. I stayed 2 nights and it was a great base. Not far to town, bus stops and shops. Breakfast was excellent. There were several rooms that guests could use, a lounge, launderette and a bar so made for a comfortable stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff, I was allowed to dry my wet tent in the small patio. The kitchen has everything you need and more, incl. coffee and tea. Super clean and so lovely decorated, it's really a nice place to stay.

Lewis was a fantastic front of house host and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a great one. There were some really lovely personal touches that made it extra special, like home made cookies in our room on arrival.
We were in the smallest room in the property I think, but it was still a decent size for a couple nights and it was comfortable. The TV was good, with lots of smart TV options. The property had reasonably priced drinks, either in the mini fridge or in the bar downstairs which works on an honesty system, so it was lovely to be able to chill out in front of the telly after a long day out and about. Plus, they had loads of books and DVDs that you could borrow.
I particularly liked the decor, it was really boutiquey and a little different.
The breakfast was AMAZING!! A real highlight, again - lots of home made tasty goodies, but also really delicious cooked options including lots of vegan and veggie options, all made to order.
Parking was also good, a few spaces at the property and plenty more just over the road. Location really handy - a short stoll in to town.

Central location. Good communication from owner. Clear instructions about parking. Giving great choices. Allowed us to have early check in for a wedding. Clean, tidy family room with en-suite. Oh and proper mugs for a cup of Tea!

Ilfracombe is a lovely place to visit, however please be aware how hilly it is. Walking down to harbour is easy but the return journey can be a bit of a slog.
Had gluten free fish and chips from Lynbay fish and chip shop.
Gluten free cream tea from St James tea garden.
Wasn't overly impressed with the beach as it mainly slate pebbles, but Woolacombe is not far away with golden sands.

Many part of this town including its HIGH STREET are looking terribly run down and rough. So too some pubs ...
I'm sure it will perk up in higher season but money needs to be spent on its appearance .
The streets felt as safe as most places in Britain and some Bistros and cafes were delightful. Roads are narrow and some extremely vertiginous . Parking can be an issue in high season I guess.

Ilfracombe is worth a visit and is probably better in the summer than when we visited. We preferred Woolacombe and Puttsborough beach is great for surfing. We walked around Baggy Point and saw some amazing views. Well worth a visit.

There were some really lovely parts of Ilfracombe and some not so nice , like most towns . Most of the architecture is stunning with old and new together but some new don't fit in. The scenery on the coast is amazing with lots of craggy coves and you can walk along the South West Coast Path . There is a small harbour where a stunning Damien Hirst statue is of Verity ,Statue of Justice if I remember correctly Parts of Ilfracombe are quite steep but there are slopes and some roads on the flat. We ate Sunday lunch at the Thatched Inn , had Breakfast at the Lime Kiln Cafe down by a cove . We loved it.

Lovely rugged coastline all still very natural.
Lovely rugged coastline all still very natural. The town however was a little disappointing in terms of felt a bit run down and lacking in investment in some areas. Worth a visit altho not too long as I think more useful to use as a base to travel than a holiday in as wasn’t enough to offer.

As we were attending a wedding it was a good location for us but probably not the right time of year for shopping etc as most of the shops were empty or closed down. I'm sure its much better in the summer!
The Devonian is a really lovely place to stay. Piper and Terence are exceptional hosts who were so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help with parking whilst we were on Lundy. Their attention to detail and quality meant we had everything we needed (and more!) for a really comfortable stay. This attention to detail continued with a lovely breakfast with a great range of cereals, pastries, fruit/yogurt and a wide range of cooked options. All in all a fantastic stay
The fact ChamberCombe was so close to Hele & Ilfracombe. They were in easy walking distance.
The location was very quiet & the Hayloft apartment was detached so we were not having to keep that quiet like we would in a hotel or guest house. Overall it was a very relaxing, enjoyable, restful time which we were both looking for. We would definitely book this apartment again.
There wasn't anything not to like about The Rocky Cove. Jonah and Nicki were very welcoming and hospitable. The bedroom was clean and fresh and has everything for a relaxing stay. We had a bath with a separate shower which is a winner. Breakfast was filling and so much choice. Would highly recommend and if we find ourselves in Ilfracombe again we shall look them up!
One of the few positives of The Symphony Ilfracombe is it's location; the hotel is on the seafront promenade, overlooking a small beach and was perfect walking distance to restaurants and bars in the town. Some of the younger staff were friendly, greeting us when we came in and helping us with parking information. The price of the hotel was also satisfactory.
Very stylish hotel, 15 minute walk down hill to centre . Owners were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast cooked to order and were excellent. Ilfracombe is very hilly so if you have mobility problems I would look to stay nearer the town centre where its flat. Overall excellent and would definetly stay there again
Lovely top floor apartment ...great views over Ilfracombe. Clean and spacious. Comfy beds too, Lots of contact with host prior and during stay very helpful. We did not meet host but was given lots of useful info and was immediately contactable when we got confused over which apartment we had!
Beautiful, big and comfortable room in a lovely building, with staff offering a very friendly and efficient service. I feel it's the kind of place you could stay in for longer, as it's not cramped and situated in a nice part of Ilfracombe. I'm definitely recommending it to friends.
Location excellent and quiet room. Loved the room as bed extremely comfortable and shower had plenty of hot water. The room smelt fresh and bedding clean. Hotel reception staff were very very friendly and helpful, thank you for a lovely relaxing stay. We will return.
Right in the centre of Ilfracombe. It is an older hotel with comfortable rooms that are clean and serviceable. The staff could not be more helpful. Whenever I asked for something they were helpful and responded to requests promptly. I would happily stay here again.
the location is excellent ,, fabulous views from our accommodation , staff were always happy to help in answering questions or recommending places to visit ,there’s a coastal path which takes you over to ilfracombe harbour , Hot tub lovely also .
loved the view from the window on the top floor and sitting on the window seat looking out over ilfracombe. The bed was comfortable and the hosts mum and dad (who were looking after the place while they were on holiday) were lovely and welcoming.
Newly renovated, clean, comfortable, lovely apartment, with everything you need and lovely view of the sea. Located near ilfracombe harbour and central to visit other lovely places in Devon. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Was a lovely spacious room with a beautiful country view!
It had everything you need from a hotel room.
The walk into town was easy and only took around 10 mins.
We will definitely stay again next time we are in Ilfracombe!
The beautiful flat is spacious, cozy and clean. Kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has a very good shower. The location is perfect, in a quiet area with parking nearby, close to the shops, the harbour and restaurants.
We had a lovely stay in this really spacious, well equipped flat. Everything was thought of and the location was very convenient close to the harbour.
Would definitely stay again.
Has everything you can think of, Excellent accommodation great location, just a short walk into Ilfracombe and in easy reach of other beaches and sites within North Devon.
