We were aware the property was not close to any local shops or pubs when we booked, the peace and tranquility was really lovely and we would definitely return to the property in the future.

Leek is a lovely market town that has retained many original features. You can see money is being invested in the area and it is a good place to travel out from to see the sights. There are many places of interest, walks and waterfalls and of course the peak district itself. So many pubs to choose from all stocking locally brewed ales

This is quite a lively but friendly town with everything you need when you are away from home. Good Esso garage and shop with easy access. The roads are busy but manageable even in torrential rain. I stayed just outside of Leek but a lovely area of the countryside.

Leek is a market town full of character. Interesting architecture and lots of small independent shops to explore.
We explored Leek on foot and found a park to relax in. There are some good restaurants and we can recommend Napoli restaurant with a good range of pizza and pasta dishes.

There was so much more to do than we anticipated with the lake to explore and lots of playgrounds, markets and walks. There is also the railway which is a really nice way to visit the lake and make the most of the sightseeing for little legs.

We visited Derbyshire to visit The Potteries, so didn't spend much time in Leek.
As there wasn't anything gluten free on hotel menu that took my fancy , we drove 7 minutes up the road to The Pack Horse inn, Crowdecote. Lovely meal in a cosy old pub amongst pretty scenery.
The 3 Horse Shoes is a great place for weddings. Superb gardens.
We stopped off at Buxton Spa Town on way back home. Beautiful Georgian buildings and The Pavillion on gorgeous park. Worth a visit.

The roads are not too busy and the countryside is lovely and scenic so it feels like you are on holiday even if you are working.
It looks like a ramblers or walkers paradise and there are several campsites. Hotel prices are comparable and there is a great Esso garage with a spar shop which offers nectar points. I saw an Aldi store which looked busy but I didn't have time to explore.
Great location, fantastic facilities. We had looked at reviews previously left and any suggestions given by others had clearly been acted on - it was great to see that there is a responsive host.
We stayed here for a trip to Alton towers but were pleasantly surprised by how lovely leek itself is.
The owner left a very useful folder of Information with recommendations for places to eat and we can verify that their suggestions are good!
We would definitely stay here again.
We were made welcome by Emma as soon as we arrived. She helped with our luggage and let us view 2 rooms to see which we preferred. She gave us good recommendations for eating places. This hotel has an amazing peaceful atmospheres. The room was spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed.
Breakfast was superb. All freshly cooked.
We stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Traditional pub located in the heart of Leek. Nice atmosphere and good range of ales.
Very comfortable (Room 1), with a large TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A fridge was also available to keep milk and drinks cool.
Free car parking space provided next to entrance to accommodation was appreciated.
Free Wifi - signal was very good throughout our stay.
I was able to have bottled water in the room which was really comfortable with a lovely bed and good lighting. Everything was clean and worked well. I was able to relax and felt very rested. The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed the restaurant food. There is a great car park and a nice atmosphere in the hotel. Im always happy to stay there.
All was excelllent. Communication was smooth, and parking and check-in were very easy. The flat is beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. Beds very comfy. Location is great for all of Leek, and the people in Leek are so welcoming and friendly.
Lovely pub and hotel. We had a family meal at lunchtime and went for a walk. The countryside us stunning and the hotel ideally located. The room was cozy and we had everything we needed including tea/coffee and a homemade cookie..
We liked the location and size of the property. The contact was available when we called and dealt with an issue speedily. The apartment was well laid out and had all the usual extras that you would want from a hotel
Owner or manager on shift when I arrived was excellent, couldn't be more hospitable. Food pleasant, beer kept very well. Good location, good walking nearby, not too far from Buxton if you need to get into town.
Location was excellent - central to Leek as expected and stated. It was a quirky residence, where we felt at home easily. Lots of things for young children to do. Generally it was what we expected.
The friendliness of the staff/owner. The bar/ reception area is a great place to sit and have a drink. Great location in Leek. Nicely upgraded. The back yard garden was a good place to sit in the sun.
We stayed here for a wedding in central Leek, so the location was awesome. Large flat with lots of space and amenities. It fit us all comfortably and we had a great stay.
Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect location close to town centre and people we were visiting. Has it's own parking. Would stay again if we were in the area.
