Staff were amazing, we had slight issues with both of our rooms, that could happen to anyone any time. That is not the reason to give bad comments. GM, reception staff they all went out of their way to help resolve the situation. In recognition of their poor level of service the GM agreed full refund and offered free breakfast. After all, it being a peak weekend with all rooms fully booked, under the circumstances, jokingly or otherwise, staff offered their room and tried to prepare booking rooms in another hotel nearby.
Although, I have said poor experience, truly they deserve 10 marks for the efforts everybody made to resolve matters. Well done to all staff who worked hard to help to make our stay as comfortable as they could under the circumstances.

Everything. Kes and her staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. The units were spacious and comfortable. The atmosphere was warm and happy. We stayed at 7 venues during the month we spent in the UK. The Horse and Groom was by far the best. Indeed, we were so comfy that we just stayed on in the Cotswolds for the remainder of our vacation instead of travelling on to Ireland and Wales as planned. We will be back. .
Set in the Cotswold market town of Tetbury, this charming town house dates back to 1535 and boasts a restaurant with views of the walled garden and fountain.

In gardens and woodland, the Hare & Hounds is a charming, traditional English country house hotel, with a popular restaurant and bar. The Westonbirt National Arboretum is half a mile away.

The young girls we dealt with were very polite and helpful.
Breakfast starting at 8.30am is quite late for us and they were very accommodating, with the chef kindly coming in for 8am so we could get on our way. Breakfast was delicious!
There was a lovely new bathroom
Bed was very comfortable, which is important
Stunning architecture and beautiful sandstone.
All the loveliness of the cotswolds without the crowds.
VERY interesting historically and lots of information at the tourist office.
It is very rewarding to walk around both the town and the adjacent countryside. The town is full of exciting little passageways and tantalising views and the river walks have much wildlife to enjoy.
And if you WANT to tear yourself away it's within easy driving distance of many other fascinating places.

Malmesbury is beautiful but we didn’t really see enough of it. We visited to attend the Countryfile event at Charlton Park (it was diabolical, if you’re wondering). Our interest in Malmesbury has been sufficiently stimulated that we would definitely return and stay in the same Hotel. Want to see more of this charming part of the world.

Malmesbury is an intriguing town full of ancient history, for foodies, head for the Birdcage Restaurant in the centre of town opposite the market square. The artisan pizza is out of this world too, like the Abbey House Gardens!

Really nice quiet village, perfect if your not willing to pay Cotswold's prices! Nice walks around the area and looks of food options. We had takeaway pizzas from the Birdcage which were 10/10! Also had an Indian too, very well priced. Tried a few of the pubs which were all dog friendly and clean etc. Great location overall. Would recommend staying for a couple of nights only.
Peace ,tranquility,a very relaxing place to be.
Proximity to Cirencester, Malmesbury, and many other cotswold attractions is fantastic. We even had a day out in Bristol which was fascinating and well worth the effort. The accomodation itself is brilliant, more than adequate cooking facilities, although the breakfast at the local garden centre is to be recommended!!All in all a very chilling place to be.
This was our third visit and just as good as the first time.
Friendly staff, location, good food for lunch. Rooms were recently renovated. We were in room 3 above the bar at the front of the hotel overloooking Malmesbury High Street. As a base to attend a concert at Westonbirt Arboretum it worked very well. Parking available in the rear of the hotel, getting to it via a narrow access arch.
The hotel staff were amazing, every single one. There was an especially wonderful lady at breakfast. Sadly our room was very tired. Stains on the carpet and the bathroom had rust on the radiator and the damn taps made this God damn awful noise all night, even though we tightened them. The breakfast was exceptional.
The room and bed were very comfortable. A great shower with lots of hot water and a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Close to the lovely town of Malmesbury where a visit to the Abbey and museum are a must.
Lovely and spacious, very comfortable and fantastic staff. Located next to hotel and they can provide full cooked breakfast which we ate in the cottage. Has own car park space right outside which is great.
The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly.breakfast was ok. The main part of the hotel is very pretty and there are some nice outdoor seating areas. Lovely location and pleasant enough stay.
It's a lovely house. Very clean and comfortable. Good comfortable beds. Within easy walking distance of Malmesbury. Very interesting little town with lots of history and plenty to do.
The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Superb location to get to all main areas i.e. Malmesbury, Tetbury, Cirencester and the Cotswolds water park with very little driving involved.
The location, the town itself. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the rooms are comfortable. Little details here and there. Very, very nice. The staff was also nice and friendly.
