Loved the bar area and outside , beds were fairly comfortable. Pete the waiter was fab and made the night a good laugh with great service !!
Only stayed one night enroute to Devon. An ideal stop over; warm welcome, lovely room, comfortable lounge and bar for pre dinner drink. Food was excellent, could be eaten in the bar or in the restaurant. Reasonably priced wine.
Breakfast choices, no buffet. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and i stayed at Bodkin House Hotel for the weekend to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We had the most enjoyable time there, it is family run and they work extremely hard to make guests welcome. Fantastic food all local produce cooked and servied to a very high standard. It's a very historic house, very beautiful but also very clean and comfortable, we would certainly stay rhere again. Very good value for money.
Very interesting and traditional place to stay with historical background!
Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the Afternoon Tea and taste the delicious food they offer, they are just amazing!!
Most importantly the family running the hotel is so nice and hospitable!!!
Mr Donald is the heart and soul of Bodkin, it was a real privilege and honour to meet and chat with him!!!
God bless you all!!!
We had a full English Breakfast which was very well cooked. On the strength of the breakfast, we booked to have dinner one night and were not disappointed. The staff made us feel very welcome and the hotel was so dog friendly, it made travelling with our pet easy.
Charming roadside hotel with an interesting history. The hosts were very attentive. It's a small-scale hotel, and had a great feeling-at-home vibe. Both the dinner (we ordered it once in the two nights we stayed) and breakfast options were quite good.
The owners are hardworking, attentive, gracious and charming. We were made to feel very welcome.
The hotel is full of charm and authentic features. The grounds are lovely.
They even kindly entertained the dog of our visiting family members.
