Cape Napos, hotel in Faros

Built above a rocky shore, Cape Napos features a swimming pool with sun terrace and self-catered rooms with sea-view balconies.

Location with stunning views, in a quiet area but only a 5 minute drive from the delightful harbour at Faros with a choice of 3 beaches and lovely short walks. I would recommend hiring a car. Faros is walkable from the property, probably 20 minutes downhill but a steep climb back up. In addition Sifnos is delightful (especially in low season) and merits being explored. The staff were really helpful, especially when I had some mild health issues. We are hikers and Sifnos is a fabulous island for hiking with a network of well waymarked trails. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Cape Napos

The apartment was spacious and really well-equipped. The location was excellent: Faros is a small village and the apartment was a short walk from two beaches, a general shop and a nice bakery, and the bus stop. The owners were in regular contact throughout our stay to ensure everything was OK.

Lighthouse Hotel, hotel in Faros

Featuring a pool with a children’s section and a snack bar, Lighthouse Hotel is located in Faros Village of Sifnos, within 700 metres from the beach.

Quiet, out of the main villages on the island. Nice and relaxing, great pool area, breakfast was nice and changed every day. Anthony was great, gave us some refreshing lemonade from Thessaloniki and some local white wine. 20 minute walk down to Faros beach, there are restaurants to have lunch or dinner. Bus stop just down the road to Faros, Appolonia and other places on the island, just make sure to download the correct timetable.

Nostos Sifnos, hotel in Faros

Set in Apollonia, within 1.9 km of Seralia Beach and 2 km of Poulati Beach, Nostos Sifnos offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive.

The location was perfect to start many adventures on the island. A fifteen minute walk to Apollonia and a great Taverna close by, but very peaceful. Very cute garden and porch with chairs. We also enjoyed the complimentary coffee pods and someone came to make our bed. The property itself is very characterful. Aris goes over and above to make sure his guests have an enjoyable stay. He is continuing the family business from his grandparents and when we were there was organising many additional improvements and renovations to the rooms and apartments to make them even better. He gave us some great local recommendations for the island and helped organise a taxi from the ferry. We loved our stay at Nostos Sifnos and hope to be back!

Faros is a lovely small village with no through road.

Faros is a lovely small village with no through road. It has three beaches within a few monists walk and if you sent off and walk around the big headland, you get another within say half an hour. There is a bar, mini market, a couple fo tavernas ( one better than the other by far) and a posh-isn fish restaurant. There is a bus service but we had a car which was a boon. The island is small so you can get to see other places in very easy timescales. There is huge influx of both Greek and (largely) French tourists in July and August which the locals were both dreading and of course, needing. Best avoid those months if you can.
