Argosy was still closed so they moved us to the President Hotel next door (5*) So this review is for that hotel (however we stayed Argosy last year and really enjoyed it also - great pools and food) Rooms large, wonderful sea views. Bathrooms with walk in showers. Outside areas for Drinks/restaurant are great / lovely views and sunshine. Breakfast buffet wonderful.s Service and staff were great everywhere. Great to get no 6 bus to old town right outside door, (or #7 to the bus terminal)

Valamar Tirena Hotel, hotel in Dubrovnik

Situated amidst green pines and olive trees, Valamar Tirena Hotel is located near the old town of Dubrovnik on the coast of the Babin Kuk peninsula, only a short walk away from the beach.

Hotel has everything you need and more. Although located a bit outside the Old Town, there are plenty of amenities on site and nearby. It is a huge bonus to be able to use the facilities in the neighbouring Valamar properties. The beach isn’t too far and there are also a couple of tourist shops/bars very close by which was handy for buying water, drinks and goodies for the room. Mario World meant there was no such thing as a boring moment for the kids…a great facility. Breakfast was delicious and drinks in the Vero Bar were very relaxing in the evening. The staff across all of the resort were incredible, so friendly and accommodating - an extra special shout out to Josip and Mario in the Oliva Grill; two absolute gentlemen. Would highly recommend for families and would certainly return.

Hotel More, hotel in Dubrovnik

Set on the beachfront, the 5-star Boutique Hotel More offers elegant accommodation, an outdoor pool, 2 restaurants and the unique Cave Bar.

Excellent locations. Great views. Friendly staff and always very helpful. Had very convenient on site free parking which was easily available. Right above the Cave Bar which was a great feature. It was a 10min walk from a small beach as well. Very family friendly place. The breakfast was excellent as well! It was a €5-6 Uber ride from the Old Town. Would recommend parking at the hotel and use the car for excursions to Mostar, Bosnia and to Kotor, Montenegro. The hotel had some nice restaurants nearby as well. You can also download the Glovo Delivery app for food delivery to the hotel if in the mood for a sneaky Pizza or Chinese.

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savour panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city centre, and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, apartments, and guest houses throughout.

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city, the medieval Old town, although expensive is a highlight. Recommendations are the GOT tour and a ride in the cable car to watch the sunset. Take comfortable, sturdy shoes and expect to do a lot of walking. Try a jojo burger 100yards outside the pile gate. Don't buy a ticket for the airport shuttle bus from the shop across from the cable car. They tried to scam us

Old City - definitely worth visiting although be prepared to climb enormous amount of steps. Pretty expensive yet worth its price. Must try - black risotto, rozata (dessert) and delicious ice-cream. Make sure you have some cash with you as many places do not accept card payments. Car park prices - robbery, charges goes to 10 EUR per hour unless you leave your car 1.5 km out of the Old Town. So, you'd be better with public transport.

We have been visiting Dubrovnik for nearly 40 years so we have seen it before and after the war. The city and surroundings remain beautiful and I would recommend a once-only visit to anybody. However, and very suddenly, prices have shot up. It costs £30 per person to walk around the walls, or you can buy a city-pass for the same amount which gives access to other attractions as well. The last time we visited in 2012 a walk around the walls was completely free. Meals are expensive too, and all the restaurants seem to be charging the same. You'll inevitably pay £50 per couple for a modest meal and a couple of drinks. However, food in supermarkets is cheap, so the tourists are paying a premium. If you hire a car you can get to Mostar or Montenegro, which are fabulous, and much cheaper. A similar meal in Mostar would be £20. However, Dubrovnik is a fabulous place and well worth a visit.

I loved EVERYTHING about this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. In addition, there is a bus that goes to Dubrovnik’s old town that stops directly in front of the hotel, which is super convenient (it’s the 4 bus). I really like that you can get breakfast as early as 6 am because this gives you enough time to eat in case you have an early tour. The breakfast buffet has a variety of options, too. The rooms have a great view of the sea, and they’re pristine and spacious. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is clean and lovely, there is a nice balcony with beautiful view. Marko (the owner of the hotel) was super nice, he gave us a lot helps and tips for traveling around Dubrovnik. There are also towers provided for go to beach. And some resturant we went around the area are much better than those in old town. If you travel in 2 ppl, just take a uber, the price are almost same comparing with airport shuttle + bus, and save a lot of times. The overal experience staying here is great. Highly recommand.

Mali Stradun was a great accomodation for us (2 adults + 2 teenagers). Access to nearby hotel's pool was excellent, as well as the breakfast option. The environment was peaceful and we felt safe. The beach was close and it was great to go for a walk/jog in the mornings. It was very easy to get to the Old Town with the bus, although the buses were crowded. Our host Tomi was most helpful, meeting us when we arrived and arranging us the airport transportation. All in all, a lovely vacation in Dubrovnik!

After so many days in a hotel, I was happy to have a location with a garden. The room and bathroom are very small, but nicely decorated, an equally small but nicely arranged garden, congratulations to the lady. Quality linen and towels, comfortable mattress. I chose the location because it was located in the area of the old town, and as we did not have much time available to visit Dubrovnik, so I settled for this location
