Location was amazing. Staff - and we encountered a few at various stages of our stay - were so friendly, helpful, and lovely. Dinner was amazing. Bed was really comfortable, and sheets etc so clean and comfortable - and breakfast superb. Could not fault stay, and brilliant value for money.

Achill Sound was a perfect location for our family, not in the middle of the hustle & bustle of some of the very popular beaches but close enough to everything that was needed. We discovered a lovely beach at Dugort, went cycling on the Greenway and on the Island and eat at Achill Sound hotel. All good.

A great place with peace and great beaches.
A great place with peace and great beaches. Not for a crazy party weekend, as there are limited number of places available. Still, It is a great island for nature and some good romantic times. Great sunsets . Beehive restaurant was my favorite. Keem and Keel beaches are gems.

Beautiful scenery, beaches, popular with cyclists.
Beautiful scenery, beaches, popular with cyclists. Friendly locals. Have only been to one village, other areas are more developed,, and popular tourist spots. The 450 bus service goes from Westport, to connect with train stops in the village, and goes through Achill Sound. There are taxis, but it may take a while to get one. Stop in Achill Sound Hotel for food, and friendly locals.

We stayed for 2 nights but I wish we had longer.
We stayed for 2 nights but I wish we had longer. The beaches were gorgeous, we hired bikes and went touring one day, I did find the bike hire a little expensive but it was lovely to have the facility available close to our hotel. Keel and Keem are very busy at this time so we went to Dumh Eige and Doogart beaches instead. We ate lunch in Gielty's which was very tasty and there are lots of activities available on the island such as paddle-boarding, kayaking, walks etc.
We had such a fantatsic stay! Anne was a wonderful host from the very start. We particularly enjoyed her delicious breakfast each morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a gorgeous view. Greenway lodge is within walking distance to Achill sound and the perfect location to drive and explore other parts of the island. Thanks again Anne we will be recommending Greenway lodge to anyone heading to Achill!
Friendly Host with excellent local knowledge & undoubtable best B&B in Achil Island. Exceptionally clean room with great view of mountains at distance, very lovely. Very welcoming with welcome tea/coffee & snacks and Warm Reception by Brendan and Eileen. Hot Full Irish Breakfast severed in the morning. Better than a 5* hotel. We will definitely book again in future.
We booked this house for a wedding that was taking place in Achill hotel. It was a great location for this. The view from the house is absolutely stunning and the house is extremely comfortable and modern.
It was really cosy and we wanted for nothing. There was plenty hot water and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The view from the room was incredible and the window opens so you can get a nice breeze. I arrived late in the evening and the owner was very accommodating and made some food for me. It was much appreciated! The next night I had a chicken curry that was so delicious and flavorful, would definitely recommend.
Very nice, clean, spacious, well equipped house. Close to Achill Sound which has supermarket, pub and restaurant. Cycle/walking path to Achill Sound just outside the door. Great communication from Stephen on arranging to pick up the keys, etc. Nice quiet location.
This is a lovely, tidy property with comfortable rooms. We appreciated so much that our bed had a flat sheet and our bathroom had a washcloth. Ann gave great advice about what to see on Achill Island and prepared for us a hearty, delicious breakfast.
We loved the hotel and the location. The owners were very friendly. They recommended us places to visit. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The home made bread was exquisite 🍞 we will definitely visit Lavelle's seaside house again!
Very comfortable with a beautiful view of the sound from my window. Friendly and very helpful
with planning my day around the island. a short walk to the little village. Excellent music by TommMcGirty at McLoughlins Pub.
The room was great, bed was very comfortable & the private bathroom was so nice. Our host, Marie, was wonderful & gracious. She helped us understand the island with a map & some good advice. Her breakfast was amazing!!
Nicely modern house with friendly family (and dog!), great location at the entrance to Achill Island which is a must stop in Ireland. Nicely sized rooms, and house is right next to a lovely walking path.
Amazing & affordable BnB at the heart of Achill Sound. Great so location so that you can walk-access all the amenities easily. Roisin was a very kind lady and the room was spacious and spotless clean!
Very close to shops, hotel and pub in Achill Sound. Marie was very welcoming and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and got fresh towels each day. Breakfast was top class and got anything we wanted.
Friendly owner run hotel. Basic accommodation but clean.
Hosts very friendly and food is fresh, homemade and tasty. After a long days walk it was exactly what we wanted.
once again everything is fine, during my previous stay I left my sweatshirt and charger at the hotel, after a few days the staff sent them back to me by mail :) great
The hostess was most helpful in making suggestions as to places to visit while on the island and we liked the location. Breakfast was delicious and ample.
