Gravedona is a beautiful and relatively quite place.
Gravedona is a beautiful and relatively quite place. There are a charming shore walk and a mountain walk with breathtaking views. There is a small family beach for swimming and Iperal supermarket for buying food. It is connected with other places by good roads (new amazingly long tunnels are build to shorten the travel on both sides of the lake) and boats that traverse the lake showing pictures towns running down the mountains to the lake shore. There is a boat rent in Dongo next to Gravedona, where the boat can be rented for a short (one-two hours) or long term. The closest places of interest - the Piona Abbey, the Orrido di Bellano, Varenna.

A small town with lots of charm.
A small town with lots of charm. Leaves behind the hustle bustle of the busier towns and cities in Como. Very relaxing. Easy to get to. There's some great food places nearby for pizza and late night gelato

Staying in the mountain villiages above Gravedona gives a more authentic experience of Lake Como. There is great hiking offering vistas of the lake and surrounding mountains, there is refreshing swimming in idyllic river pools beneath a Roman bridge and there are fanatstic village resaurants to discover that offer a great menu at reasonable prices. You are also only 30 minutes away from the ferry in Menaggio that can take you to Verenna and Bellagio for the full Lake Como experience.

Gravedona is a very small town with a few restaurants. I have not been to Lake Como before and the town is lovely but a little cut off from the rest of the Lake. It does have a ferry but there is only a choice of one in the morning and two return ferries.

Gravedona is a very quaint town on Lake Como.
Gravedona is a very quaint town on Lake Como. We loved walking along the water and the restaurants. The ferry was on time to travel to other towns. The town is small and not for those who are looking for lots of nightlife. We loved Gravedona!
the property was breathtaking
the food was incredible and the rooms were extremely comfortable
best of all the staff were so accommodating and helped us plan our trip in Lake Como
the first day we relaxed by the pool and ate at the hotel, the next day we took a 20 minute bus to the port and got a boat to Bellagio
day 3 we got a boat from the local town all the way to Como
without the help of the staff we would never of been able to do so much - they really made our trip so fulfilling
Friendly staff, good food, cats, dogs, donkeys, chickens and bees, high in the mountains between beautiful surroundings, nice view on the moutains and the lago di como, they produce their own honey. The good breakfast was served in a beautiful furnished room in the main building. And they served the delicious dinner on their beautiful terrace. They dont have menucard. They come to your table and tell you the daily dishes.
Amazing location right on the lake, at the start of the promenade. There are a number of restaurants and shops nearby. The owners are fantastic, very friendly, helpful and attentive. We had the 1 bedroom suite with two balconies looking onto the lake and the mountains. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The hotel's own restaurant was great, I had the best vegetarian lasagna ever! Hope to return one day.
we arrived later than expected due to traffic in Milan, so the host kindly ordered pizza for our arrival as he was afraid they would be closed. so very attentive and helpful in EVERY way. The house is wonderful and location great, especially if you have a car and transportation to other areas around the lake. Gravedona is a quiet and lovely village on the water.
The location was fantastic, quiet and very local to great restaurants in neighbouring towns. The host, Romano was very accomodating and shared local knowledge and recommended places to visit which were spectacular.
Our breakfasts were memorable, not only for the local food but the view from our high in the sky tables overlooking the north end of Lake Como
It is a completely renovated and well equipped apartment in the small town just by the Como lake. The town has one of the very old medieval churches. The kitchen was very well equipped - had tea, coffee, Italian espresso machine where you boil your coffee on the stove. All was new and lovely. Owner of the apartment was super nice.
Great spot, short walk into the little village of Gravedona. The property itself was nice and neat and well equipped (except they didn’t have a pizza tray…but we improvised). This wasn’t an issue and we mostly ate out. Our gist was also fevers friendly and helpful :) I’d stay here again
- Nice location with view of lake Como from the balcony
- Free well-working Wi-Fi internet
- Spacious and clean apartment
- Free private parking in a private garage
- Kind host, he waited for us almost until midnight because we were arriving later than expected
my partner especially liked the breakfast selection (the breakfast attendant also made a very tasty latte macchiato), & the staff at the hotel are very welcoming & attentive. the room was spacious with a nice shared terrace as well.
Amazingly helpful owner, we got stuck im Menaggio at 10 p.m with no bus or taxi to come, fortunately owner managed to come and bring us to Gravedona. Breakfast was delicious. We may recommend the accommodation to everybody.
First, the location and the breathtaking view of Como lake. The safety of the apartments was high level with private parking lots. The beautiful Norita who guided us through our journey and her amazing recommendations.
We had the best room with the best view of Lake Como!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I liked the quiet and relaxed location. Not too touristy. We will come back.
Really great place with a nice view of the lake. Exceptional hospitality and great support with all non-hotel related questions :) Private parking and free WiFi are also there.
After touring around Lake Como, it was lovely knowing we had such a relaxing place to back to. The owners/staff were very friendly and attentive even when it was busy.
