Wonderful Italian farm style breakfast. Our room was large with a great view of the valley. Short drives to historic hill towns.

This is our 4th trip to Italy and one of our best stays!

Photos don't do justice to this place, stunning, picturesque, and unique! our room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated! Francesco was very kind and responsive. We checked in at midnight and he arrived within a few minutes to help us with the keys. His directions were so helpful and his breakfast (both omelet and crepe) is legendary! Thanks Francesco for making our stay truly unforgettable!

The apartment is exceptionally clean and well-equipped. The balcony view is incredible with typical Tuscan surroundings and cypress. Futura and her family are so accommodating and kind to us. We had a great time just chilling around Montichello and discovering Pienza and Montepulciano. Would definitely come back next time 😊

The apartment is even more beautiful than in the photos. It was originally built about 800 years ago, and they have decorated respecting the original infrastracture. The location is great. You are walking steps from the gorgeous Tuscan views, gastronomy, and culture.
Getting to Monticchiello is not easy, but Flora and Futura were extremely helpful guiding us and helping us as much as they could. Plus we were welcomed with some vanilla cake for breakfast and a basket of fruits.
Flora was definitely the best host we've had! We felt at home and we would love to come back.

The property was located in a walled village, in an 11th Century building. Felt very quintessential Toscana, with modern amenities.
Had a great cooking class at Restaurante Daria. Not only learned how to make local favorites but got to eat them along with some great wines as accompaniment. And also took home a recipe book which included what we prepared.

Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina.
Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina. He immediately made us feel right at home as he showed us around the shared spaces and our private space. He also shared the fascinating history of his family and the "casa." He is a wonderful baker and prepared beautiful, delicious breakfasts each morning. He answered every question we had about the town, allowing us to explore with confidence. He made excellent recommendations. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to charming and friendly Monticchiello and to la casa di Adelina. We hope to retun.

Monticchiello is a lovely small town in the heart of Val d'Orcia. We stayed here several days and traveled by car to other places in Toscana. There are a few good restaurants in the town and the most breathtaking view on Toscana hills.

A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet.
A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet. We walked around the walls and tiny streets. We ate at Dario’s where we had a delicious lunch of suckling pig. We attended a wedding at the church which was an amazing experience.

Monticchiello is such a cute village and you can't miss the local playhouse/museum - wish we'd had more time to explore it! It's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Pienza and the Val d'Orcia but come back to a homely, less touristy home-base.

Montichiello is a small quiet village in Tuscany, Val d´Orcia. I would have loved staying here longer than one night. It was really very cosy and lovely, just like you would image Tuscany. Daria is very kind and her colleagues too,. We also had the best dinner in her restaurant.
Amazing agriturismo. Make sure you book the apartment with the private terrace, you’ll be admiring one of the best views over the Val D’Orcia. Pienza is perched on the hill in front of you, and you have amazing sunset views. Vilmo Barbi, the owner, is incredibly helpful in giving you suggestions for your stay. The room is fully equipped (the best part was discovering a stack of playing cards!) with all necessary amenities. Monticchiello is about 2km from the agriturismo, and is a jewel of a hamlet. Would definitely love to come back!
Excellent location for day trips to Montalcino, San Quirico, Pienza and Montepulciano. And Monticchiello, the local town, is absolutely stunning. The Agriturismo is a Fantastic place! Our room was beautiful and Mino, the caretaker, was wonderful, treating us to a delicious bottle of the wine he makes from his own vineyard. We drank it sitting on our own private little terrace looking out to Monticchiello. The whole experience could not have been any more perfect!
Fantastic view out over the countryside.
Brilliant shower and comfy bed.
Quiet & relaxing. Lots of places to visit nearby… Pienza, Montepulciano etc
Got taxi from Chiusi Terme train station to Monticchielo at the Taxi rank outside, for a very good price of €62.
Sara, the owner, was extremely helpful & answered every text immediately & with good advice. It was a comfort knowing she was there to help with any issues if needed. Thank you.
Everything! Monticchiello is the most beautiful village of Tuscany and this apartment is a dream come true. The views, the garden, the antique furniture, old wooden doors and huge kitchen fireplace all add to the charm of this beautiful place. And our host, Luigi, is so kind...he greeted us with a plate of bread, cheese, salami and olive oil that he makes himself. We loved everything about our stay here and hope to return again.💗
Excellent communication with the owner and super easy check in (we arrived very late by bikes and the key was by the door). Excellent location in the heart of the village near a pretty trattoria where we enjoyed a very good meal. Charming apartment with a well equipped kitchen and coffee machine. Nice small garden at the back for enjoying a drink in the sun.
- Great location in a quiet picturesque hilltop town with great views of Tuscany.
- Close drive to Pienza (10 mins) and Montepulciano (20 mins).
- We liked how the bungalow had a kitchen in the case you felt like cooking too.
- The bungalow was away from the main house which had a nice sense of privacy.
Medieval Monticchiello is a ZTL but driving is permitted to parking at the B&B (otherwise park nearby but outside of the walled area). Room was comfortable and mostly quiet but there was some loud, booming music in the village which lasted into the night (one night of two).
The most beautiful view of the Pienza and the valley. Amazing.
Our room was on the other side, so we didn't have the sun over, and it was very nice, not very hot, so we slept well.
The breakfast included is really nice, you can eat what you feel like, salty or sweet.
The breakfast was exceptional! Francesco and all of the staff were extremely welcoming, and went above and beyond. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again! Not to mention, Monticchiello is beautiful. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.
Gorgeous, well-equipped villa in a lovely little village. Nice little balcony to sit and have a wine. Close to lots of other villages and places to explore in Tuscany. The edge of the village was a great spot to sit and watch the sunset.
Amazing property and hospitality. This place is magical. Beautiful, authentic. The location is outstanding, in the middle of some of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany (Pienza, Monticcello and Montepulciano).
Location is perfect to visit all main cities as Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino. Also wonderful location because of views to take a walk or cycling.
Hosts are very welcome and caring: enviroment like a home.
Daria is lovely, the hotel is lovely, the town is lovely. Their restaurant is in another building 1 min away from the hotel and they make Michelin star worthy food. The best experience was having dinner there.
The room and hotel grounds were exceptional. The attention to detail was so impressive. The staff was amazing, Gabriella, Julia and Antony were so attentive. The service was impeccable!
A beautiful property with so many amenities too countless to list. It’s a perfect accommodation in a precious Tuscan village. Francesco and his family are perfect hosts!
