The ryokan is conveniently located near to the train station and just in from of the beach. I loved immediately the atmosphere of the ryokan and the bath space. The lovely owner made me feel at home and I cannot wait to go back for another holiday.

We loved our trip here. Little did I know, I seem to enjoy travelling in a pretty laid-back city and Ise was just perfect for that. If you're craving for a small city experience, out from the other international travelers, I'd recommend Ise for sure.

I visited Ise to see and experience Ise Grand Shrine. I am interested in the mythology about Japanese shrines and also in the Imperial Family system. My parents visited Ise when they were young and I wanted to do the same trip.

IseShi is an important city to visit if you like Shine.
IseShi is an important city to visit if you like Shine. There are plenty of Shrines and you will have not enough time to visit this place if you want to explore all of the Shrine. Also don't forget to taste the Ise Lobster and the Matsusaka wagyu beef.

The Ise area has so many positives and sights to see! The temples of course but there is the seaside to the north as well as the natural beauty of the whole peninsula that we would love to see more of, we should have booked for a week!
Ise city itself was very tidy, and clearly well organised and set up for tourism with walking streets and beautiful shops on the main street from station to Ise Jingu Shrine. We would still love to visit the Okage Yokocho ancient street area and all the other temples south of Ise!

Meoto Iwa was a good place, but getting there was sligthly confusing (mostly due to me misreading Google Maps instructions and ending up at a different station =);
Ise's shrines were great, I really recommend Okage Yokocho and the Uji Brigde: perfect for a nice walk with great landscapes and sceneries.
Ninja Kingdom was also an interesting experience, but as non japanese I cannot recommend the Real Life Game; so the time spent there was around half a day. From there, the Meoto Iwa is not far, so I would advise to combine both, if found interesting.

Great place if your looking for a shrine pilgrimage (many shrines in the city), especially since Ise Grand shrine is the most sacred shrine in all of Japan. Many shrines to visit (recommend Futamiokitama Shrine as well). There are many fun shops and restaurants/ food stands around Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku). The downtown area around Iseshi station also has a lovely street of shops and restaurants. Many buses and trains that run frequently to take you to many places.
The location was great, within walking distance to the outer shrine. The rooms are well designed and layout, and include a useful kitchenette area with microwave and cooking utensils. Only downside is the lack of housekeeping during the stay. Be prepared to bring down your own trash and clear the garbage bins. Nevertheless, would still highly recommend this hotel for visit to Ise city.
This is a perfect place with a cheerful host, a great location, and a small onsen (the water is not mineral, but it is enjoyable anyway). Our family felt there like home) The hotel doesn't provide breakfast, but it is possible to find some restaurants nearby, and there is a Family Mart within a 3-minutes walking distance.
In a small town like Ise, this hostel is located close to the train station and bus stops to visit the famous shrines in the area. The facilities were kept clean with well-heated for those cold winter nights. The welcome drink was a nice gesture and the breakfast portion was perfect to kickstart your day!
Very large bathroom. Large bed. Large room. Clean. Organised. English version of hotel rules- not all hotels have this. Desk was good, but could be a little larger and good shelving above bed. Free water, but only on second day. Staff were very helpful even if speaking very little English.
They provide free coffee and sweets in the afternoon and evenings. We could chill in their library cafe enjoying the coffee as well as read the books and play board games. it’s really near the Iseshi station and the shopping street that leads to the Ise Outer Shrine
The staff is very friendly and caring. They facility is and old charming ryokan, and actually whole place felt magical. Even the outside noises were not able to spoil the charm of this place.
If I ever come back to Ise I'm for sure try to book this place again.
I had perfect stay at the hostel. good value breakfast, warm host, splendid cleanliness. I totally recommend you to stay here:))! the host even drive me and my friend to Meotoiwa for sunrise since there’s no train at early morning. Definitely beautiful stay!!
Neat business hotel right in front of the Ise station, short walk from Outer Shrine of Ise Jingu. Clean and comfy, great for an overnight stay. Staff spoke limited English but were very friendly. Baggage was stored before check-in behind the front desk.
The inn was easy to find, and check in went smoothly. The accommodations were clearly explained and were included in a tour of the property. The workers were friendly and helpful! The breakfast was traditional Japanese fare and delicious.
Really cute and cozy space for a stop in Ise Shima. Lovely rooms, really welcoming atmosphere, good location near the ise Shima station and easy to get to Ise Shima shrines from there. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Comfortable room, decent size, and great amenities including a nice breakfast and shuttle service to the Iseshi station. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Absolutely nothing to complain about!
Great location near the "Geku" (outer shrine) of Ise Jingu. Very friendly staff, great facility that doubles as a cafe.
Would recommend for travelling alone or with a small group of friends.
I enjoyed their breakfast menu. Everything is fresh and there are local dishes.
The hotel is conveniently located between two train stations, making it accessible to popular sites.
