Situated in Tangalle, a few steps from Wella Odaya Beach, Ananya Beach Resort features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.

This was (as already six years before) our highlight of our Sri Lanka travel. The hotel is so beautiful, right at the beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room were clean and big, we had booked sea view and it was stunning! We will definitely come again for our third time.

Be one of the first guests at this newly renovated colonial home. This home has air-conditioned rooms with its own private bathroom.

We took the Honeymoon bedroom ( even if it wasn’t our honeymoon) because the room had a beautiful terrace with sea view. It was clean and pretty big !

The place is just a few steps away from the beach. We just jumped in and had a sea bath whenever we wanted. There was AC and Hot water in our room. Didn't expect that. Really worth the money. There was a pool table in the bar and fellow travelers stop by to play pool and vibe. Had a wonderful time and hoping to return again soon.

    The town has very little to offer.

    The town has very little to offer. It’s a noisy, chaotic typical Sri Lankan town. The only redeeming factor was Silent Beach on the Western side of town. We also enjoyed a nice meal at Cactus Lounge.

    Tangalle is a fairly sleepy town, with quiet beaches. Great place for a rest and recharge. There are a couple of supermarkets in the town centre, and a bottle shop. The beach is countless bars and restaurants.

    I liked the size of the city - just right to walk anywhere, plenty of options to buy fresh fruit, fish and good local food. The bus stand was easy to be found. There were always tuk tuk drivers around for when you needed it, but sometimes they were too eager to give you a ride even if you didn't want to. The city always felt safe, even at night.. even for a solo traveling young woman. There was a great food booth near the bus stand selling the best shawarma ever! There were plenty of beautiful beaches around, but the sea was too stormy. Nearby in Kapuhenwalla is a good turtle conservation project, where you could go see turtles hatch and lay eggs. I am definitely coming back~

    Tangalle is really nice but it is far better just 2/3...

    Tangalle is really nice but it is far better just 2/3 kilometres up the coast at Marocolyia beach and lagoon.Very peaceful and tranquil. This where Coconut Island cabanas is.There is also a small lake about 200 meters from the accommodation which is full with wading birds.Flamingos,Sacred and Glossy Ibis etc etc.

    Everything was perfect. The facilities, room, pool and the amazing restaurant with delicious food and breakfast . But the most special thing about this place was the best hotel manager we ever met! Our little boy was scratched by a dog on a nearby beach- without this amazing man who went with us to the hospital, vet etc. we wouldn’t be able to handle this situation so we’ll. Thank you so much for the help and the amazing hospitality. I highly recommend this hidden gem❤️

    I highly recommend this hotel and Tangalle to every traveler in Sri Lanka! The family who is living there is incredibly friendly and warm hearted. We got delicious food and drinks for a fair price. The hotel itself is very clean, very comfortable, in a great location between town center & Beach and has fast wifi. On top of that they have Luna, one of the best dogs ever. We extended our stay to 1 week very fast. Thank you very much and all the best for your business ♥

    Beautiful homestay and perfect location far away from crowded beach. The beach close to the homestay is beautiful with nice restaurants. I think it s cheap compare other part of tangalle. The cooking was perfect, very tasty, the better food we ate in SRi Lanka. The owner help you to make your plan, everything is easy with him and he know really well his country. Very charming place cool, relax and calm and very very very clean. No hesitation, book it !

    incredible location, private section of beach with beautiful views. the rooms are spotless with comfortable beds. even better is the staff, the nicest team of people who ensure every minute is enjoyed. the food served on site is very tasty whether Sri Lankan or otherwise (would highly recommend the 3 curry and rice). if you want a day trip out the the beaches and ya Galle ask for Piyumal, super friendly and knowledgable.

    We had an amazing stay at this guest house! The hosts were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The room was very clean and spacious, and we felt right at home. The family was very helpful and we enjoyed speaking with them. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, and we always looked forward to it. Overall, it was a beautiful and comfortable stay near Tangalle beach. We highly recommend this guest house!

    We had a great stay, the place is well kept by the family and we had a fantastic dinner with fresh delicious fish. It was also great to have the chance to see the turtle laying eggs at the beach, a memorable experience.     It was really cheap and the accomodation was luxury. The owner took care of everything and the wifi was awesome compared to other hotels in Sri Lanka.     We had a good and clean room with good working AC but the very best of all was the small balcony with Jungle view and a cozy sitting area to watch the birds, stars while listen to the waves from the beach near the hotel. We totally enjoyed our stay here. You definitely have your private space without other guests to enjoy your time.

    Located at the begin of the centre of Tangalle. Tangalle has the best beaches around the south coast, not very busy , we prefer this. The guesthouse has a nice family. We did also the laundry directly by the hotel. Breakfast simple and good. Spacious room with AC. There is also a good barber shop close by, nice guy works there!

    Although not beach front, it is one of the closest places to Silent Beach if you dont count the large luxury hotel at the beach. The people working here are extremely kind and helpful! They helped us organize a nice kayak trip at the nearby lagoon and we had our best meal in our whole Sri Lanka trip in their small restaurant.

    This is a great hotel. The rooms are lovely, and the staff are great . Special thanks to Kenny,Thilina and Nabob. The beach is long and deserted, but the sea can be very rough so be careful. The sea is too dangerous for children or non- swimmers. Best of all no war- crazy Russians...unlike some places in Sri Lanka.

    Lost paradise! Long beach with small number of hotels. Very green with animals around, like in botanical garden and zoo! Ocean is wild and not for swimming but we dipped ourselves and it was fun. Recommend to all who love quiet places. No worries there are restaurant in walking distance and pool is great!

    For the price we paid there will definitely not be a better hotel in Sri Lanka if it was beachfront they could charge 5x the amount.     Our stay here was amazing. Very clean and comfy villa right near the beach area. The food was delicious, probably the most delicious food in all over Sri Lanka (and we had 20 days in this lovely country).The stuff and the owner is very friendly, kind and attentive.

    Direct at the Beach. Beautiful area. Nice breakfast. It's possible to swim in the ocean and use a pool in the neighborhood hotel. Friendly stuff. Possible to rent a scooter and see maybe the best beaches in Sri Lanka. 10/10!!!
