This is a really nice lodge, the pool is beautiful and the rooms are very spacious. But what made this place special was the staff, all of them truly wonderful and going above a beyond to make our stay special.

If you are planning a trip to Etosha, I'd highly recommend a stop-over in Okaukuejo. Its conveniently located with many beautiful lodges to choose from. Outjo is just an hour drive and the road is paved all the way. There's plenty of wildlife. On my next visit, I'll definitely go with a 4*4 for a self game drive in Etosha.

Stayed in Gondwana Etosha from 16th to 17th July this year - and got charged twice for the room, which is never a great thing in my view.
Very interested in seeing whether this will be rectified or not.
Too easy for the hotels to take advantage of credit card details.

We had one of the standard rooms...lowest accommodations besides camping. The room was very musty and dusty. The staff very impersonal. But it was nice to be able to walk to the waterhole any time day or night to see animals. The food/buffet was expensive but it was pretty good.
The waterhole is really the only reason to spend a night here, except you get in to the park a little earlier to be able to look for the big cats. The price for the accommodation was soooo overpriced for what it was. You are paying for location only here.

Our stay at Okaukuejo was wonderful!!
Our stay at Okaukuejo was wonderful!! The waterhole was an absolute highlight. Our room was really great !! We enjoyed sitting the the water hole and watching the wild animals coming to the hole. Unfortunately we were only there one night and didn't eat any meals there so I can not comment on the meals.
It was practical to have a gas station at the site so that we could check the air in our tires and fill up gas before starting our trip in Etosha!

Booking in was close to unpleasant with smiles a rarity.
Booking in was close to unpleasant with smiles a rarity. Cheer up. First impressions.
Accommodation comfortable and facilities for food, fuel etc
reasonable. We braaied for dinner but breakfast was very good.
Jackals around the camp after dark were interesting and the waterhole and viewing terrace were great. Missed the night floodlit experience but good reports were heard.
The location is really nice, you can see the animals come around the lodge at all time.
The deco of the rooms and the main lodge are really well thought
The walk in the bush.
The food was fantastic. The best in Namibia.
The bush walk with the Guide was very interesting and educational, we spent over 2hours in the bush. The guide who is from the North of Namibia also shared the history of Namibia and the different culture that makes this beautiful country. A smart young man with a good general knowledge.
Lovely hotel quite near Etosha park. The nature is always near and you can see at least a lot of different birds. The room was big and it was cleaned every day. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast and dinner with a lots of different food options and there's also a bar from where to get drinks. We had couple different massages while we were here and they were excellent. They also offer game drives to Etosha. When we had couple issues the staff was very helpful and sorted out everything.
This is a review from the Epacha Lodge&Spa, not the Eagled tended but i think their the same hotel group. We we're diverted to Epacha due to closure of Eagled, apparently due to low tourist numbers. We had an excellent treatment by Graham and Andy and would like to thank both for their sympathy and professionalism. It´s a little bit far from the etosha center (+/-47min) but just outside the hotel there are plenty of animals to see (giraffes walking around etc). The room is idyllic.
great camp site facilities with your own shower and cooking facilities within each individual campsite. I'd rate it as the best equipped of all the campsites I stayed at while in Namibia. Just an easy, low-cost option before heading into Etosha.
Was lucky to be located near the fenced off waterhole/wildlife viewing area, so this was an unexpected bonus. Also, the easy option of a few beers and a feed at the cafe/restaurant.
This is a really beautiful hotel with massive rooms and the outdoor shower is really lovely. There is a lot of wildlife in the hotel gardens/grounds and that is really the selling ticket for me --- one shouldn't have to go to a park to see wildlife in Africa. The staff are also really lovely people, they make a lot of effort to accommodate the visitors. Many thanks to Abraham, Elena and Brenda for being so kind to our team.
Everything is simply amazing. The rooms, the food, the staff. They are 15 minutes from the Andreseen Gate to enter Etosha so I recommend it staying there instead of the overpriced, worn off Okaukuejo lodge. They also have chitas, leopards and lions to check out on site! I highly recommend! I travelled two weeks across Africa and this was the best facility we stayed!! Thank you!
Great location very close to the National park, you can organise safaris that are hosted by the accommodation, very welcoming and helpful staff, fantastic room and shower, the views all around were incredible, the whole hotel set up was beautiful, the food was great, great that you can sit on the balcony and enjoying the view with the sounds of nature rather than bar music
Loved the hotel, exceeded expectations. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is really comfortable. Great pools and nice bar. They have a nice shop with great stuff (if you are going to Etosha in your own car - that’s what we did, highly recomend it - buy their Etosha map, it’s like 4 bucks and was life saving, don’t know how we would have done Etosha without that map!)
The Lodge is a beautiful setting and very close to the Etosha Nat Park. Very friendly and dedicated staff who manage to offer the best. Excellent service and excellent food. Safe parking for the car provided. A must be place to experience the natural beauty of Namibia. Safari trips can be arranged by the reception, where questions are welcome!
The lodge was very comfortable and nice. The staff was particularly very friendly and helpful. Our car got stuck in mud and the hotel sent a rescue team shortly after we contacted them. The manager came to check on us and made sure we were ok.
We stayed there for Christmas and they had a special dinner, decor, and celebrations.
It‘s a very luxurious hotel aprox. 15 minutes from Etosha’s Anderson Gate. The rooms/tents are very nice and spacious. The dinner menu was great! The game drive was also really nice.
Nice and very clean rooms. we enjoyed every minute of our stay at your hotel. The breakfast and diner were just superb.
The staff was so professional and polite. Thank you so much.
Hotel, room, staff and food are excellent. The coffee tray is well equipped and linens were top notch. Buffet meals have plenty of variety, and were well cooked snd presented.
Beautiful chalet! Loved the way the architecture incorporated the natural elements and culture of Namibia. The buffets were amazing!! Delicious and fun!
