An extremely charming ‘local Portuguese’ town with many excellent restaurants on the Tagus river estuary across the vasco de gama bridge from Lisbon. an easy jaunt by car or by the ferry at Montijo. This is a lovely relaxing village, not a place for nightlife and excitement; for that you have to go to lisbon. With that said, the bartenders at Pelourinho make a great Manhattan!JohnUnited States of America

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Madalena, the bartender, was so excellent and friendly that I felt like I was leaving family when we had to leave! The parking was easy. We found a space right in front of the hotel. It is in an area that is not too busy but there was a great bakery a quick walk down the street. We only stayed one night before flying home so I can't speak for things to do in the area but the hotel was fantastic!

The area felt like a village away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. We drove over the bridge to the port of Lisbon one night for dinner which took 30 mins. Alcochete is a pretty small town with a great view of Lisbon across the water. Deluxe room is spacious with a seating area at the end of the bed and lovely window seats overlooking a garden. This is my go-to accommodation when I need to be near Lisbon.
