Burney is a beautiful area.
Burney is a beautiful area. People are very friendly and helpful. Only reason it was not rated excellent was all the roadwork on 299. It was going on in town too so getting anywhere was awful.
Upside is their roads are so much better maintained than Bay Area.

Went to visit Burney Falls, beautiful and a with a short trail which is perfect for the inexperienced hiker. Perfect for families or others who simply want a day long visit. We visited 2 days and loved each one!

Burney itself is completely unspectacular except for the falls, which are great. But it's a decently positioned location to travel Lassen Volcanic National Park. Lava Beds and Crater Lake are within reach, too. There a few restaurants, which seem to be ok (nothing special) and a Safeway.

We arrived later in the day.
We arrived later in the day. We were asked to park at the boating parking lot. There were plenty of picnic tables the a 1.5 mile stroll to the lookout point of the falls..Some of our family decided to go down the path of dirt path steps, gravel...They definitely felt it was with the climb.

Burney is a perfect mountain town with so much to see and do close by. Lassen, subway lava tube, Burney Falls, Hat creek and lake britton for fishing as well as numerous other water ways. Nice coffee shop and Safeway grocery for supplies. A nice steak house and cozy motels with a good value price.

Burney falls in in a georgous wooded area with a lake near by. If you're into cabin camping, there's a darling and huge camping area with small cabins or for tents. Lake Britton is lovely. The falls is also beautiful if you want to spend $10 to take a look.
Except for the Coffeemate (!!), the in-room coffee pod machine made very good coffee. The motel did not offer any other eating amenities besides coffee and ice, but it did not advertise to have those. There was a good TV, nice fluffy towels, fridge, clock, blackout curtains, bare floors, etc. (I did not use the wifi.). My room was VERY CLEAN and smelled fresh.
An excellent stay in Burney. We stayed here as we visited Lassen and Burney falls. Burney falls was just 15 mins drive from the property. This is an exceptional motel with super comfortable and clean beds with all basic needs. No complains at all! Would definitely recommend this motel to someone who is visiting this beautiful small town!
The manager Jim and his staff always go above and beyond the call of duty to make my stays at their hotel comfortable. I travel to Burney often as I am an avid fisherman. When I'm in the area, their hotel is where I always stay. No other hotel comes close in terms of service and accommodations.
No breakfast was offered even though your say website states it. continental breakfast.
Excuse at front lobby had a note stating because of covid. You could of put items in small bags for customers like other motels do when they dont comply to their advertisement.
Excellent, cheerful and efficient young lady at check-in. Plenty of parking in front of room. Located on main road through Burney and opposite a selection of eating places. Fuel station nearby. Great location between Lava Beds NM and Lassen VNP. Room comfortable.
We liked the location on the way to McArthur-Burney Falls. The room was clean, the price reasonable. We could have a barbeque outside and sit at the table there. The staff were helpful.
The location serves as a great base for exploring Lassen and the surrounding area, and the price is better than others in the area. Burney Falls is not to be missed!
