Excellent location to visit Mt. Rainier National Park.
Cosy spot with a lot of tourist information on display.
Nice little terrace and possibility for campfire just outside the cabin (not during fire ban though :) ).
You don't see the owner during your stay, but the owner is very responsive via the chat on Booking.com.

The property is located in a great place with easy access to the main road but in a serene place in the woods. The second bedroom is in the attic which has a narrow ladder which is a little difficult to climb through.
The cabins are located a few feet from the gates of Mount Rainier National Park. Entrance is visible from the property. The main inn has an on-site store and souvenir shop.

Staff is welcoming and nice. The bathroom is in good condition and there is a fridge.
Ashford was great! If you want to take your dog hiking find a place outside mt rainier, no dogs allowed. There is a nice hike very close to juniper cabin. It's very easy and very nice. Must walk there. There is no parking.

The property was perfect, only a few miles away from the entrance to a great national park. Since you have a limited selection of restaurants and grocery stores, it offers you the opportunity to cook in. Would definitely recommend it to others.

The house is very spacious. I went with my family - 2 Adults and 2 Children. House can accommodate at least 6 people. Cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. Kitchen fully equipped. Attention to detail. Great location. Hot tub is a plus!

The local restaurants are great, especially the Wild Berry, the sherpa food one. The woman who ran Alexander's Lodge was awesome, she went over and beyond trying to make people happy. Very pretty setting, nice rooms and the sitting room was extra room to spread out. I would go back!

Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay
Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay
Ashford is a service town for Mount Rainier National Park. Strung out along Highway 706 for the last few miles before the entrance, it's great for mountaineers and tourists. I ate at the Wild Berry Cafe, owned and operated by Sherpa immigrants who bring their food and culture to this tiny, rural corner of Washington State.
The Gateway Inn, adjacent to the Nisqually Gate of the Park, is a comfortable older hotel. It's a perfect basecamp for a short stay or as the beginning or ending overnight spot for your adventure. I stayed in one of the older cabins, warm and cozy, on my recent overnight business trip. It worked perfectly as I celebrated a couple's sunrise wedding in the park!

Very close to the National Park.
Very close to the National Park. Great place to stay if you're going to the Paradise area of Mount Rainier. We ate at the Copper Creek Inn Restaurant, It was decent. The cider we got there in the gift area was very good.
very cozy with all the nature feel surrounding us . cabin has all the essentials. very near mount rainier, the bed very comfortable. very ideal for a couple just wanting peace , quiet , away from the noise and hassle of the city . the river/ creek in the backyard just adds to the charm . firepit/fireplace with available wood. gas grill works great . the ambiance of the place is absolutely perfect . great Wi-Fi, t with all movie channels . hike to paradise and longmire. I highly recommend
The house is clean and tidy the keys are in a locked box if need to access with code, and there is a door code as well. Everything is detailed and explained clearly. It is so close to the access of Longmire, Mount Rainier, you don't have to drive hours to enter. The town has cute little local restaurants and everything is cozy and relaxing. Across the house is a small lake if you want to take a swim or sit and just admire.
It's a charming location and the cabin has basically all the basics there. The coffee beans and coffee grinder are a lovely touch. The grounds are well-kept and the location was very, very quiet. All you can here, usually is the stream nearby, and the laughter of any neighbors. A lovely place for a getaway.
Nice size rooms, with all the amenities expected for this type of hotel. Reception lobby was welcoming with the fire and lounge chairs. Staff were very helpful helping us find out which roads were open, entry into the Park for 2 days etc. Appreciated their help.
The hotel could be described as historic, unique, and/or quirky. We were greeted by Summer, the super friendly and accommodating hotel manager. The location could not be better-- it's within several minutes of the entrance to Mt. Ranier National Park.
