I was in Eugene for day surgery and the sitting room/bedroom suite was just perfect for our needs. My husband could come and go and take our dog to the terrific Alton Baker dog park within walking distance, and use the sitting room during the day & evenings while I rested and slept in the separate bedroom. Your bistro is also very good and he didn't have to go far to keep himself well fed.

Nice, clean place for one night. It is very noisy outside because of traffic, but we could not hear anything inside, good isolation.

This is a fantastic city -- creative and vibrant with plenty of big city fun with a small town vibe! Eugene has a fantastic food scene and great book and music shopping and museums. My favourite is the Whiteaker Neighborhood; lots of fantastic dining options and live music plus parks and the beautiful river path. It is a great place to walk and cycle.

Eugene is a college town, and we chose to go on road trips instead of staying in town. If there are games going on, it can be quite hectic to try and get around the city. There are covered bridges to go and see in Cottage Grove, as well as waterfalls and other hikes to partake in in Cottage Grove and outside Eugene.

I will never go to Eugene in the winter again! So cold! And the rain never stopped for our entire stay. And the day we had planned to leave, I-5 was expected to be closed over Siskiyou Pass due to snow and high winds. We left a day early and drove home via the long route, over to 101 and then down the coast. Temp never got above 45 degrees and the rain never stopped, but at least we didn't have to deal with snow. If you need to go to Oregon, schedule it for the summer when it is actually quite pleasant.

It was good to tour the campus although we were there for a wedding. It was sad to see the homeless on the streets. Other than football and sports, I don't know what anyone would do on vacation. A trip to the winery was fun. Eugene is not for us.

Classic college town with a clear progressive and liberal tilt.
The scent of pot being smoke was not uncommon.
The city streets were CLEAN and there were very walkable sidewalks on most city streets.
I saw signs of a concerted public assistance to homeless populations rather than the constant conflict between the haves and the have-nots in Seattle.
I only spent one day but I would have liked to spend more to explore its nooks and crannies.

My family always loves staying in Eugene.
My family always loves staying in Eugene. We travel to the Ducks football games around three to four times at least every season. My family enjoys the location of the Hayward Inn because it is the perfect location for sporting events and amazing restaurants. We love the walk to Autzen Stadium from the hotel as well.
Hotel lobby is modern, sleek, clean, and new looking. Staff were friendly but seemed new to the role. We got a very nice room (#324) located in the Hilyard building at the very end of the hall on the 3rd floor. Nice, clean, fresh room but the balcony was the highlight. It was small but, the sliding glass door open to the most private little balcony that overlooks a small pond.
Breakfast was okay but not as elaborate as some other hotels. But coffee was very good. It is a very new hotel but quite sparse. No dresser, or closet, but there were hangers and a table to pile clothes. Hilton obviously going for the minimal It probably makes the rooms easer to clean and maintain. Beds were very good, firm mattresses, which my wife and I like.
The inn was comfortable, quiet, and super clean. We enjoyed having the privacy of an en suite bathroom in the Farm House room. We barely heard any other guests while we were there. It was a really lovely setting and a great alternative to a hotel. The living room and dining room area were great to sit and read, and to play a board game (which we brought ourselves)
The location was excellent! The hotel was very well appointed, including a laundry room. The rooms very superb, with everything you could hope for and a beautiful view. In fact, the whole city is beautiful and well worth a visit. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful with recommending restaurants, getting reservations, taking care of luggage, etc.
The staff was so kind. They also added a fridge (which our reservation said would be in the room). Only problem was the unreal price of $341, which every hotel in town charged (at least that) because of the World Track Championships in Eugene.
The normal price for our room, at another time, would've been $80 according to your staff.
I travel to Eugene often to visit family. My experience with other hotels in Eugene has ben that, being a college town, the hotels are well used and not the cleanest. The Hampton Inn on the other hand is very clean, and the stafff is very polite. I will be staying there again when I visit family in West Eugene.
We booked a standard Queen then upgraded to a Superior room but when we got there they hadn’t received the upgrade from Booking.com and were unable to provide the Superior room. But our standard was perfect, it was out of the way quiet and comfortable. Will definitely use Best Western again.
Spacious, very clean and comfortable room, pleasant staff, and the price is definitely right. The hotel is walking distance from McDonalds, IHOP and Denny's so I didn't try the hotel breakfast. Will stay again if I return to Eugene.
it was fabulously convenient. There was a breakfast area and the swimming pool and washing facilities were an extra bonus. The staff were done if the best in the world, and they made our stay superb. I will definitely come again.
Well located and very friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and the room was immaculate. The bathroom was spacious and everything looked new or well taken care! Best motel we have stayed in during our trip out west!
Great location near the park and river, the house is beautiful and historic, well-kept inside and out. I would love to come back and stay longer. Kitchen, dining area, and living room are spacious and inviting.
Excellent location near Skinner Butte and a very short walk to restaurants and shops in downtown Eugene. Terrific breakfasts, lovely grounds, kind and accommodating staff, great ventilation, and charming rooms.
Such a great place! It has renewed my interest in "motels". Retro but so modern. We loved being able to pull right up to the door of our room. The location was perfect. We loved it.
I liked The Maverick hotel because they’re pet friendly, the bathroom was VERY spacious, they gave e extra towels, and their shampoo, conditioner and lotion smelt great.
Room was clean and very well maintained. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly. The location was good. Nice restaurants within walking distance.
