The location was right in the middle of everywhere we wanted to visit. The room was perfection -- nothing fancy, but it was clean and included a microwave, coffeemaker, and a mini-fridge/freezer. Everything was very efficient. The room even included a full-sized ironing board and iron. Wonderful bedding! My husband and I slept like babies.

The whole state of the accomodation exeeded my expectations. Rooms, facilities, the interior, breakfast, staff (especially Josh at fron desk) etc. Great value for money. My daughter even named the building "The castle".

The room was very clean. The staff from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was very friendly. Housekeeping comes by and makes sure everything is very clean and if you need any extras like wash clothes and towels, which is nice. I stayed in the king suite with the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and the fireplace in the living room. The fireplace in the living room was such a nice touch to the room and very easy to manage and control. With the spa tub in the bathroom I did not feel "icky" about getting into the spa tub because it was so clean. Breakfast was nice as well. Breakfast was hot and freshly made. Also, front desk allowed late check out for my partner and I which was really nice, because we were super soar from skiing the day before. 10/10 definitely will be staying here again when we come back to ski. Wifi also worked very well no issues with that.

Eat at The Donnin House. It's pricey, but WELL worth it!
Eat at The Donnin House. It's pricey, but WELL worth it! It's easy to walk around Gettysburg because there are benches everywhere but bring or purchase a cane or walking stick because the sidewalks are uneven. The Chocolate Market is an AWESOME experience, and so is Buddy Boy's Winery shop. Of course, don't miss shopping at Gallery 30 in the heart of town, the Irish Store, and Dirty Billy's Hats among many other places. The ONLY negative is that most stores don't open until 10 AM and close by 4 PM. Also, some stores are not open the entire week. So, plan your trip accordingly and enjoy the small-town feeling.

Great, historic small town with the Nation's largest Civil War Battlefield that the National Park Service is constantly trying to restore/maintain to its 1863 setting. I highly recommend booking a licensed battlefield guide for a two hour tour of the battlefield. WELL worth the price.

Gettysburg is much more than its history, and the history itself will keep you busy for days. We found so many local businesses that we wanted to explore, hotels we'd like to stay in, and people that were so friendly. Could easily make a long weekend out of a visit, even in the off season.

The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown".
The town was very cute. But it is a very "sleepytown". Everything closes so early including gas stations even on the weekends. So, if you are from the city like me make sure you do everything early including food. Most places close their kitchens between 9-10pm on the weekends.

We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide.
We chose the self guided tour through Action Tour Guide. You pay online prior to your tour, download the app, and when you start at the designated location, the app uses GPS to guide you through a specific tour route.....with narration. VERY inexpensive, but thorough and informative. The 'human' guide prices were exorbitant. The only caution is that there are no restrooms on the tour route. So, in order to use facilities, you must leave the route and return to where you stopped on the tour route. The app doesn't help you find restrooms. In addition, most businesses (including 7 Eleven) would not allow someone to use their restroom. We had to travel back to Sheetz (2-3 miles out of our way) for hassle -free relief.
We booked the Country Inn and Suites as an overnight stop on our road trip. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The facilities are clean and beautiful. The proximity to downtown, Gettysburg College, the Outlets, and the battlefields is perfect. The staff was so kind and so helpful. The pool and jacuzzi are clean (and open until midnight!) and the gym is nicer than most. Our room was clean and quiet. Our only regret about this hotel is that we didn't allot more time to stay there on our trip. We will be returning!
Second visit staying here. The hosts are so lovely and helpful. I had rooms 3a and 3b and had plenty of space. The big bonus is the 24x7 kitchen where you can help yourself to breakfast and snacks. I was travelling on a budget and the bfast was great. Kind and generous hosts who assisted me and my luggage to the bus station.
Room was comfortable but I would pick Room 3a next time as it was brighter and more spacious and has a mini fridge.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Gettysburg.
It's a no-frills hotel -- no laundry or breakfast or pool. The Quality Inn across the street offers more for the same price but the bonus with this hotel is the super clean rooms, extra towels and shampoo and the close proximity to downtown Gettysburg making it a fun walkable experience. to Gettysburg shopping and breakfast eateries. The management was really friendly and nice too.
The Inn was like being in my own home. Very comfortable, cozy, homey. It was one of the best Inns/Hotel/AirBnB we have ever stayed at. The location was wonderful. Out the front door and you were right in the middle of restaurants, bars, shopping, toyrs/excursions. I highly recommend to any couple going to Gettysburg. You will not be disappointed.
We've stayed here before and were comfortable, this time we brought along the family dog. Many of the hotels in Gettysburg are pet-friendly, but many don't advertise as such, making you call or hunt. They have an indoor pool and hot tub and outdoor pool, seasonally...the decision has always been an easy one.
We liked that it was big enough to accommodate our family of 6 in one room. Great location for American Civil War museum and some places to eat. Breakfast cottage was nice and the breakfast was better than some other hotels we have stayed in recently. The coffee and waffles were good.
I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Gettysburg. Room was clean, and spacious. The breakfast offered was one of the best I’ve experienced. The hotel is located in the perfect spot in downtown Gettysburg. So many attractions and restaurants in walking distance
Price-performance ratio was great. Big room, convenient beds, very clean. With a walkay of 10 minutes your are in downtown of Gettysburg. The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center is by car just 3-4 minutes away.
We visit Gettysburg on a regular basis so we've stayed in just about all of the hotels in the area. This one by far is a hidden little gem. Very clean and comfortable. I will be staying here again!!
The location was perfect as we were visiting the Gettysburg battlefield and downtown the hotel was very close to both. The Hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was exactly what was needed.
We liked the location the hotel it is close enough to main area of Gettysburg but fair enough you get away from all the tourists. And the value for the most part wasn't too horrible.
