While we were there to go to RoundTop market, La Grange was a nice little town, with a pretty downtown square. Ate at Eres Italian restaurant - very good, great value, and right next to a really cool bar in the oldest building in town. Wish they had some more hotel options... would go back to explore the area some more!

I took my wife to visit several of the painted churches.
I took my wife to visit several of the painted churches. They are definitely worth a visit. La Grange is a good base for this. We also went to the Quilt Museum in La Grange. The vintage quilts were very interesting, the contemporary quilts, not so much. We also visited every quilt shop in two counties.
The stay was great, just a no frills hotel. it was clean, everything worked, beds were comfy too. Its just old but that’s what a nice motel in a small town is. as long as it’s safe, clean, and everything works it’s great!!
The hotel was perfect. We needed sleep and a shower after a day's adventure and a late wedding. The staff was attentive, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Totally plan to stay again.
Room was clean, comfortable; no carpet a must!; no dust ruffle or frills on bed a must; vanity area was large; lighting could be brighter for make-up in the am; good value for price
Cottonwood was a no frills motel, as expected, but the staff was kind and the accommodations were more than fair for the price. Would stay again if passing through the area.
