It was a good stop to rest as the beds were ultra comfly; however, there is nothing to do nearby. If you are looking for a place to stay while visiting relatives in the area I can recommend the comfort of the rooms. There is a CVS next doot. The downside...access can be a challenge as the streeet is very busy and congested. The turn in to the parking is a sharp right and the curb is high. We actually blew out a tire when turning it too sharply. There was a costco within minutes as well as a black Angus resteraunt, but nothing within walking distance besides the Starbuck's, and not a comfortable walk in the older business area as well as dirty streets.

We were told not to be walking around too late at nights.

We were told not to be walking around too late at nights. That was not our plan anyway but we heard this from several people. We did not feel unsafe at any time. The hotel is off the street and only hotel guests used the parking lot. The day was fine. The restaurants in the area were delicious and affordable. The people were friendly. The hotel was very safe and accommodating. Getting around was very easy and the locals are well informed.

Farming made Lomita, which means little hill in Spanish, a regional center in the early 20th Century. Today it's a small bedroom community and plays a supporting role to its more well-known South Bay neighbors, Redondo and Hermosa Beaches, the major port cities Long Beach and San Pedro, Torrance and Palos Verdes, with it's hillside homes and world-class views of the Pacific Ocean. Lomita's only tourist attraction is the modest but colorful and quaint Lomita Railroad Museum. But that's the city's best feature -- small town charm next to Southern California's hottest fun spots.

Horrible room just look at the bathroom.

Horrible room just look at the bathroom. I have several pictures if you like and how filthy it was!! Disliked · Room was filthy, underwear from previous occupants and socks were still laying on the floor, bed was as old as it can get sheets looked like used up diaper's or cheese cloth they were washed so many times bed spread or cover had holes in it bed was very uncomfortable mattress has been worn so bad and had cave in in the middle that we both were falling in to it and couldn't get a good night sleep. This hotel should be rated 1 not 4.5, that's was very misleading when we booked it. Booking. com didn't do their homework period !!!!!!

I like the same things that I always do when I stay here: the value and the bang for the buck , the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff and the willingness of the owners to go the extra mile. I left my license at the desk one afternoon and not only did they hold it for me but they took the trouble to track me down give me a ring and let me know they had it. Not that big a deal, and the decent thing to do oh, but believe me, not every motel desk would take the trouble to do that and I appreciate it.

There was no breakfast but the location is absolutely great for dining. There are several mid-range restaurants of various sorts within walking distance. That's one of the best aspects of staying this motel. Among the cuisines offered are Hawaiian, Mexican, Chinese. Diner-style and gourmet pizza. There are two liquor stores nearby. to boot. Checkout time was a comfortable 11 am.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. On the positive side, the room was fairly clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the room offered a small fridge and microwave, and the property has a small pool & hot tub, and the staff were helpful. The hotel is in close proximity to the beach (driving), shopping, dining, etc.

Best nights sleep (2) of our trip. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was slightly more than a trickle, but in a drought state it was adequate and the bath was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was as expected. The coffee was better than many motels. Also a CVS pharmacy next door.
