The lady at the front counter was very rude I tried asking her what I was signing and she said I had to sign it if I was staying there, the toilet was plugged up and asked her for a plunger, she said the housekeeper would be in about 3 hours later, told her NOT to go to my room because my wife was sleeping so she went there and knocked on the door at about 6 am. And we got ready and left this terrible hotel at about 6:30 am.

Check in and ammenities good.
Check in and ammenities good.
Note: pool was not operational, coffee maker in our room was dirty and moldy.
And watch out for “no pet fee”. It actually poses as a “ refundable pet deposit” which in reality is not refundable. Its ok to have a-pet fee. As pet owners we understand that, but please be honest about it!
They did refund 3/4 of the pet fee/deposit.

The restaurants there are great!
The restaurants there are great! LOVED Culvers never had been to one before and those folks and there food were awesome! There was a lot of street construction, and it seemed like no one obeyed the speed limit (if you DO you may get run over lol) The farm and home store there was very helpful and had a great selection.

I mean there's basically just corn, and a few stores downtown. Its a cute town, but there were a ton of boarded up buildings and not really much to do. We were in town for an event in Des Moines, and this was a little less than an hour away, so it's close enough to more excitement if you're not afraid to travel a bit. I did notice some stuff going on at the community center, but we didn't do much side from eat while exploring here

A great community with excellent restaurants and shopping.
A great community with excellent restaurants and shopping. There is a large casino about 15 miles from Marshalltown. Marshalltown has a great water park, several excellent golf courses and ball diamonds.

website pet policies stated Pet friendly front desk said no pets other than service dogs
we were lucky to procure a room else/ since it was state swim meet
very unhappy with this inconsistent information
The hotel was very quiet. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. It was the best night of sleep I’ve gotten in a hotel in a long time. The free continental breakfast was hot and very good.
