We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit.
We needed to chill and disengage from our lives a bit. This place magically does that for us . It's our second time here in 10 years and I don't like to revisit places but this is our magical place. The Alley House was a great delight! The crime free atmosphere was refreshing. It is a destination to behold. There are few places like this to experience.

Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers!
Liked: This is a place for outdoor lovers! Many options for walking/hiking. Abundant lakes in and near the city if you love to fish! Very nice walking trail that follows the river through town.
The hot springs are ok if you like that sort of thing, but are on the pricey side.
Not so great: Not many dining options (a lot of the restaurants seem to be closed on Sunday) and seem to lean toward brew pubs and burger joints.

Charming little town with a lot to offer. We loved hiking the short trek to Treasure falls, soaking in Hippy Dippy Hot Springs along the snowy river, walking the town, delicious breakfast at Pagosa Bakery and a delicious dinner at Riff Raff on the Rio.

Scenic, friendly town on the western slope.
Scenic, friendly town on the western slope. Nice downtown area, restaurants and shops available. A hot-air balloon was flying overhead one morning. Enjoyed Made in Colorado, and Pagosa Flowers. Took a scenic drive north of town to Piedra and enjoyed seeing the beginnings of Fall aspen colors. Traffic was often a challenge on US 160.
The place was well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine and dryer which are big pluses for me. It is big enough for a family of 4-6 people having a master's bedroom and two extra bedrooms downstairs with two full baths and a powder room in the living area. Also, it is just across the road to the edge of the lake. In all, it is a great place to stay and relax in Pagosa Springs.
We had visited this property in January and enjoyed it a lot. Amazing spot to stay in Pagosa Springs with a Mountain View, 15 minutes for Walmart and 15 for Pagosa Springs Thermal Resort. Highly recommend to hike on the Piedra river trail - 20 mins from the property.
If you are visiting this area during winter - be prepared for heavy snowfalls by cleaning the driveway :)
Breakfast not included. Excellent location. Convenient to everything we wanted to do while in Pagosa Springs. Excellent recommendations offered for coffee places, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cabins were in a quiet area just outside of town. Especially loved the open grassy area with chairs and tables alongside the San Juan River.
I loved the backyard of this hotel! It was so cozy for my stay. It felt like I was in my mom's backyard. It was such a beautiful place to be able to sit out and have breakfast in the morning and listen to the birds sing. I highly recommend this place to stay!
We arrived a little bit early and were able to check in to a room. It was so helpful! Thank you!
The rooms are extremely clean and nicely updated. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft, making it easy to get a good nights rest.
I loved the location as it was within walking distance to mostly everything. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The breakfast was well stocked and the front desk was extremely helpful.
I was traveling through Pagosa Springs with a friend on BMW motorcycles. Initially I thought I booked a room at a hotel but was pleasantly surprised to find this place in a nice residential neighborhood. Our room was large and clean with beautiful furniture. The host was incredibly friendly and made our stay special.
The hotel central location. The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was all that we needed. There was lots of coffee, which we really liked. Our room was a good size with a king bed. The daily cleaning servie was also good. We would stay there again and would recommend it to others.
We had snow. The cabins are well insulated and provided a warm, cozy place to sleep. The main room and kitchen area was larger than expected.
Lodging includes access to a large pool fed by the sulfur springs, an outdoor spring fed hot tub and and a smaller indoor spring fed pool.
The location was very nice and so was the room. The guy at the front desk was very friendly. It's a small hotel but that's okay. It fit the purpose of our stay. We did not eat the breakfast as it was mainly prepackaged items. They did have some fruit.
The hotel was well kept, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, the room was well-appointed, the pool and hot tub were totally decent, continental breakfast was in ample supply, and it's just a 4 minute drive to downtown and the hot springs.
location is awesome. remote yet accessible to Pagosa Springs. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of choices, both freshly made hot and cold items. Host worked hard to ensure that our request for a "green clean" met our needs.
Room was clean, parking was ideal for someone towing a trailer. Beds were comfortable, location was quiet.
Was surprised with no one on site for check in like a traditional hotel, but this was not an issue for us, it was unique.
Good location, pretty courtyard garden in back and decent sized room. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The indoor hot tub and pool looked appealing though we didn’t have time to use them.
This motel is well-located on the edge of Pagosa Springs and is easy to access and park ... not common in this town. It's convenient to restaurants and the rodeo fairgrounds. Lots of hot water for the shower!
What a place! We absolutely loved it! Beds were huge too! Breakfast was spectacular, specially the crepes! There were horses, dogs and hummingbirds in the hotel, and plenty of elks on the road.
This was our second stay and of coarse they didn't disappoint. The cabins was so clean and sanitized I will definitely stay there every time I visit Pagosa Springs
