Family-run for 150 years, the Hotel Balm is located in a green suburb of Lucerne and features a gourmet restaurant with fish and other specialities and offers free WiFi in all rooms. It is a lovely and spotless small hotel. I felt like staying at home. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was superior. We had one dinner at the restaurant too. The bus stop is at the door of the hotel, and we used the free bus pass to visit Luzern. Parking at the front and free.

We enjoyed two snowy days, so the proximity to the forrest was very welcomed. The host was so kind to us and available for assistance and guidance. The apartment is simply wonderful. Spacious, well equipped, with more than you can reasonably expect. The sitting area is big and cosy and with an amazing view. It was a great experience. I would love to go back.
