Happy’s Homestay was a delight of a choice. In a quiet, beautiful and peaceful area, away from the messy crowd and yet only a few minutes away (by scooter/ tricycle) from wherever you want to be in Boracay. The beach is just outside the place, staff is friendly and helpful, the owner is a lovely lady who is kind and resourceful and Happy (youngest host) is adorable. You won’t miss a thing by staying a few minutes away from the confusion the overrated white beach is and getting the chance to mingle with locals. We loved it and are thankful for switching hotels after spending a night on the messier side of the island. Thank your for our warm and delicious pandesal first thing in the morning. Hotel by the sea, swimming pool, palms not many people around, peace and quiet, what else do you need...Staff extremely helpful including night porter.

Marnin's Place was a delight and pleasure to stay in. As soon as we arrived at the accommodation the hostess welcomed us with a smile and explained the facilities and amenities at the place. She showed us our room (we chose a double bed room with en-suite), the room was clean and tidy with swan towels laid out for us. A great thing about this place is that you can buy beers, ramen, snacks and soft drinks and even coffee, milk and juices from the hostess and have a tab for your stay. They also do breakfast and other delicious Filipino food and milkshakes made fresh. The location is ideal if you want to be able to enjoy the white sand beach and clear sea quietly away from the crowd, get to know the locals and also see Crocodile Island and Magic island right outside of your doorstep. You can buy fresh young coconuts from the guys next door and also take a local bus to get you to Station beach where a lot of the nightlife is and be able to come back home to a quieter side of the beach. It is close to the port where you will be arriving in Boracay and also there are plenty of shops up the road from the accommodation. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Marnin's Place and even extended our stay for 2 more nights on top of our 4 days stay there! I can't recommend this place enough to be able to get the best of both worlds!! The hostess also asked us if we would like our rooms cleaned every 2nd day and that it would be no problem to clean the room and change the sheets. She was an angel and helped us a lot with our stay in Boracay!!
