Det nyrenoverade, 4-stjärniga Hotel Baia Azul har ett idealiskt läge, 4-minuters promenad från stranden i Funchal. Superbra läge. Restauranger och dagligvaror inom gångavstånd. Allt som man behöver till frokost och fin utsikt från restaurang. Ägg i massa varianter och små wienerbröd m.m. Mousserande vin om man vill göra mimosa är ju ganska nice!

Det 4-stjärniga Hotel Alto Lido renoverades 2018 och ligger i Funchals främsta område Lido, 2,5 km från stadens centrum. One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Exceptionally nice and helpful staff. Great location with free shuttles to the center. Spacious and clean room, great swimming pool. Breakfast with many choices. Many thanks to Alto Lido staff for lovely holiday! :-)

Vila Vicência ligger i Funchal, inom 7 minuters promenad från Praia do Gorgulho-Gavinas och 2,9 km från Praia Formosa, och erbjuder boende med en bar och gratis WiFi. Väldigt mysigt hotell, trevlig personal och god frukost. Stort plus för SPA avdelning med generösa öppettider.

We stayed at this hotel for part of our honeymoon and loved our experience. The property was beautiful, the views spectacular, staff helpful and kind, room spacious and clean, and food fresh and delicious. We loved being able to hear the waves against the cliffs and the birds chirping. It's also helpful to note that you can benefit from using the amenities at the sister property next door as well.

Denna 5-stjärniga resort ligger på en klippa i en 10 hektar stor subtropisk trädgård med utsikt över Atlanten. Här finns ett spa vid havet, 3 pooler och direkt tillgång till havet. Fantastisk och behaglig miljö med vänlig och uppmärksam personal och samtidigt diskret.

Quinta da Casa Branca ligger i en stor trädgård med olika subtropiska träd och en bananplantage. Everything - super comfortable room, absolutely amazing gardens (you must see to believe!), top service attitude and fantastic food (especially dinners, but breakfast is also super yummy!). The location was great for me - not too far, not too close to turistic center of Funchal. Again, territory and pools were top-notch, SPA was outstanding in actual procedures - it doens't looks fancy or grand per say, but the work by therapists was top-value and made all the goodness for me. Finally, the value of this place for me felt much more than what I've paid (you get all what you would get in Belmond or even better - but for a fraction of the price..)

Golden Residence har panoramautsikt över Praia Formosa, Madeiras största klapperstensstrand och erbjuder en utomhuspool, ett hälsocenter och moderna rum med egen balkong. Great location, close to the beach and city, good staff, extremely helpful with any nuisance, the apartment has a fridge and kitchen with basic equipment. Nice, tasty breakfast, everyone can choose from. Pools, fittness and sauna are bonus.
