Dar el médina er vel staðsett í La Medina-hverfinu í Túnis, 17 km frá Salammbo Tophet-fornleifasafninu, 400 metra frá Dar Lasram-safninu og 500 metra frá Kasbah-torginu. We liked the great availability and warmth of the staff, great breakfast (we had stayed a more expensive hotel during our first stay in Tunis, but it did not even compare in terms of breakfast, availability, response and communication). They arranged a taxi to take us to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said and ultimately to the airport, they greated us with water, fruits, coffee and tea on the house. The owner is highly involved in the business and I guess it shows. We only had our plane at night so they allowed us after the tour to spend some time in the lounges after checking ou, kept our bags and it all seemed so natural, peaceful and quiet as if we were at home. The inner courtyards, terraces and architecture are all very beautiful, but this can easily be found in Tunis, what makes the difference is the quality of service and kindness. I do hope they make good money from this, they desearve it. They made Tunis more beautiful for us. The access is also comfortable, from the Palace of the Government on Rue de la Kasbah and left, no intricate alleways, no gettong lost.

Dar El Jeld Hotel and Spa has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Tunis. This 5-star hotel offers a concierge service and a tour desk. Very comfortable rooms, beautifully decorated (the scent of orange flower across the hotel was a bliss) in the middle of the Medina. The hotel is located in a rather quiet street within the Medina (not too crowded and full of noisy stores, but still safe even at night), and walking distance from the Medina's liveliest streets. Staff was very attentive (during Ramadan, we would get a fruit basket every day to break the fast). The spa is also very nice.

Spectacular architecture, location to Medina, cleanliness, and the food at the restaurant. The traditional live music in the restaurant was amazing.

Beautiful hotel with a smell of roses in most public areas. Nicely decorated rooms. Amazing breakfast (actually the only good breakfast I had in Tunisia) on the hotels rooftop terrace. Located in the medina close to the Zeituna mosque. Most of the medina is dark and dead in the evening but around the hotels a few cafes are still open and crowded. Awesome!

Located in the Medina of Tunis, 12 km from Tunis-Carthage international airport, Dar Ben Gacem is a traditional-style accommodation which offers free Wi-Fi access and a terrace overlooking the city. Huge tasty breakfast each morning. Very friendly staff who provided good recommendations for local places to eat. The room was very spacious and the decor is wonderful selected with support from local artisans. The rooftop was an added bonus despite the poor weather we experienced during our stay. The location was also very convenient within the Medina and had easy (for Tunisia) parking nearby.

The decoration is just awesome, even the bathrooms are cool and the beds are comfortable. In addition there is a rooftop where you can take a look at the city Skyline. Additionally the location is very good too, within walkikg distance to main attractions. The host was very helpful.
