Amazing spot! Staff is kind and welcoming! We loved the location in Yunomine Onsen, we enjoyed the private onsen experience and we loved the community environment at the hostel and meeting wonderful people each day with our bento box dinners. We were grateful for vegan dinner options!! We also enjoyed the delicious rice porridge in the morning. The kitchen is also wonderful and well stocked-we made our lunches there. The space itself is beautiful and the way they created the bunks in private cubes adds privacy. The futons are comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. It was a great place to stay along Kumano Kodo and we were able to take the bus to Koguchi to do more hiking one day. The bus stop is less than 5min walk! Would highly recommend.

Great experience at this house. Very good location. Better try the yakitori the host runs! Very tasty. A very small convenient store nearby.

Digging your own hot spring next to the river was the best experience! The breakfast and dinner were fantastic! Best breakfast on the kumano kodo! They also organized a bento lunchbox for us (which was prepared by someone else and also less tasty than the food we got from the pension)

Breakfast and dinner were great. Location is very central and close to bus stop. Onsen is also good although not outside but facility good and clean. The owners are very nice and helpful to us

The owner was well prepared for non japanese speakers having all the information in english and using translator to answer question. She seems really sweet.

Very cozy spot on the river bank. Ease of access to kumano kodo trail. We did the Hongu loop trail leaving from here, hiking to Hongu-taisha, then bus to Yunomine Onsen, and then hike the rest of the loop from there. Awesome experience!

The location is so beautiful. It overlooks the river and is really quiet. The rooms themselves were comfortable and clean. Everything looked new and the owner was extremely helpful.

Situated next to a grocery mart. Friendly staff. There weren't anybody around when we arrived but the person in charge responded promptly via WhatsApp and promised to arrive in 10 mins. Washing machine and dryer facilities available.
