The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

It was by far the best accommodation on our entire trip to Sri Lanka. The room, bathroom and balcony were huge and super clean. The air conditioning kept the room nice and cool. It is very nice and quiet. The safari was super organized with breakfast and drinks. But the best thing about the accommodation is definitely Mithila we have rarely met such a kind and gorgeous person. She really organizes everything and has an open ear for all our wishes. Takes care of the food order, safari, enough water and even the laundry. We had a lot of problems with our arrival due to New Year and she supported us the whole time. Many thanks again to you! We had such a great time with you ♥️

Perfekt sted å bo når man skal på safari i Yala. Ble tatt varmt i mot kokosnøtt. Hyggelige eiere som også ordnet transport for oss fra Ella til Yala på kort varsel. Han ordnet safari som var en flott opplevelse. Veldig rent rom, sannsynligvis det reneste på hele turen. Vi fikk servert fantastisk curry til middag. Kan varmt anbefale dette stedet.

We really liked our stay at Tissa Lake Resort. The owner is very friendly, he gave us info on a safari tour beforehand and when we agreed on booking it with him, he even offered us a free dinner the day we arrived. The staff also gave us a welcome drink and a 'goodbye' drink when we checked out. The room was very clean, spacious and quite modern (in comparison to a lot of other rooms we stayed at). Hot water was available and there was a mosquito net. The accommodation also has a large common area to relax and it's opposite the lake so it's in a beautiful environment. We would definitely recommend this place!

Our time in this place was a genuinely beautiful experience. Equipped with binoculars, we enjoyed observing birds by the lake during the day. In the evening, the owner generously offered us a ride to a larger lake, where we had the opportunity to look at the bird nests and trees full of bats in the middle of the lake. The family was exceptionally helpful, providing us with delicious meals and engaging in friendly conversations. Additionally, they organised a memorable safari for us. We felt truly welcomed and embraced by their hospitality.

Veldig hyggelig vert for overnattings stedet. Vi fikk god oppdatering kvelden før skulle dra på en privat 1/2 dags Safaritur. En fordel og ikke dra på Safari i helgene pga mange Safari jeeps. Fikk en fantastisk lunsj etter safarituren

The hosts were very friendly and they even helped us book seats on the bus back to Kandy. The host prepared dinner which was very delicious and at an affordable price. The rooms were clean and overall it was a good experience.
