Boasting a shared lounge and views of city, Maison Junod is a guest house set in a historic building in Romainmôtier, 33 km from Palais de Beaulieu. I've been to Romainmotiers several times in my life, but have never spent the night there. I'm so glad that I did on this trip. My room was "The Rose Room" - on the 2nd floor overlooking the town roofs and main street. It was in a historic building, light and airy, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully organized. It was a 3-room suite, with a separate bathroom, and entry hall. The bathtub was so cozy and relaxing. Dora, the owner, was so friendly and helpful, bringing me a picnic basket full of breakfast treats in the morning. I loved, loved, loved the whole experience of staying in this special, extraordinary place and will be back. Thank you to Dora!!

She was accommodating of all our needs, prepared beds and bowls for our dogs, brought in our towels when it rained, and even offered us tomatoes from her wonderful veggie patch! The accommodation is super clean, light and bright and decorated in a comfortable, modern style. The terrace is perfect for a warm summer's day and the neighbour has an organic farm store with homemade bread on some days, butter, cheese, eggs and even Kombucha!
