Located in Alopronia Village, the seafront Maistrali is traditionally built in Cycladic style. It offers air-conditioned accommodation with views over the Aegean Sea or the garden. Our hero’s! After a very stressful morning that resulted in us being stranded on Sikinos during the off season for 24 hours. After a severe weather warning was issued for the island minutes into our reluctant arrival this Hotel was our (pardon the pun) port in the storm. Within 10 minutes of booking the hosts had completely reassured us. Their kind and welcoming nature put our minds at ease and after unburdening us of our luggage and quite literally taking the weight off our shoulders, we were off exploring this breathtaking island whilst they prepared our room. The room itself was perfect! Clean and comfortable it had every amenity including pristine en-suite, television, fridge, coffee machine, water bottles and complimentary shower accoutrements. The location was fabulous next to the water and a 2 minute walk to the beach. We spent our evening enjoying wine and morning energising with coffee in the beautiful garden off our bedroom. We were even surprised by our host with a muffin to start our day. We are so grateful to the hosts for making our unexpected visit here a magical experience. If Sikinos is on your bucket list of islands you wish to visit we cannot recommend this hotel enough!

The traditionally built Kamares is situated 400 metres from the beach of Alopronoia in Sikinos. It features Cycladic-style rooms with a balcony or patio overlooking the Aegean Sea. We loved our stay at Camares. The room is beautiful and offers an amazing view over the island and ocean. The room was clean and the bed was nice. The food was excellent and the lounge was very cosy. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Kelly who runs the place showed us great hospitality during our entire stay. She let us check in earlier and let us stay for an entire day in her lounge outside while waiting for the night ferry. Besides that she offered great advice for our trip and interesting conversations. One should consider staying at Camares just to have a chat with Kelly. Even if it comes at a premium - a stay at Camares is well worth every cent you pay!
