Uchi is situated in Matsushima, 200 metres from Zuigan-ji Temple. Guests can enjoy listening to music or watching TV in the common area. You will find a shared lounge at the property. The location was excellent. It’s a short walk from Matsushima-kaigan Station and literally a stone’s throw from the pier, and from attractions like Zuiganji and Entsuin. It’s also a beautiful property and the host made every effort to make us guests feel at home!

Guest House Umebachi offers dormitory-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Guests can rent bicycles to tour the area and relax at the outdoor terrace. Relatively close to the station and the facilities were nice. My favorite part, however, was talking with the staff. Everyone, staff and other guests, was super nice and understanding making it my favorite part of my Japan trip so far. Especially how it was a great chance to meet lots of new people from all over Japan and the world and practice my Japanese with everyone working there. I would highly recommend!

It was always clean and because we booked during the week, we got super lucky and we got the female dorm to ourselves! Staff was extremely warm and welcoming and accomodating!

I love the caring spirit of the management team for the ocean. Also the decorations of the living room was relaxing and beautiful and I love it.

Great value for money if you want to stay in Kesennuma for a night. Location is ~30 minutes by foot from the train station or ~10 minutes by BRT (which runs to and from the station). Staff was very friendly and speaks english well enough. Facilities were clean.

The guesthouse was about a four minute walk from the train station, and an eleven minute walk to the supermarket. Hiro, the owner, was super nice and friendly ^^

Open from 2016, Traveler's Wharf Shichigahama is a 60-year-old Japanese-style accommodation with views of the sea. We absolutely loved our stay at Traveler’s Wharf Shichgahama. Taka is a wonderful host - attentive, accommodating and we really enjoyed getting to know him a little bit. He took excellent care of us, anticipating our needs and showing great hospitality. He picked us up from the train station, and advised us on activities in the area. I would highly recommend you stay here if you are looking for a quiet, low key place close to the beach.
