Owner (Wakuw and Ayano) who's switch their city life back into nature are so kind and give us very warm welcome. there is a camp ground nearby and we can have a short walk amidst the nature scene. if required. they can provide you breakfast and dinner that you should try as Wakuw San was a chef from Tokyo who back to nature life.

On both mornings at the stay they gave us a very tasty traditional breakfast of soup and fruit, and helped with suggestions of where we should visit in Nagano and where to eat / what to try whilst we were here. The stay is also beautiful with a traditional Japanese feel. You can tell that a lot of care and thought has gone into the design of the home and rooms. There is also a little kitchen area where you are able to make your own food and wash your clothes if needed. It was very clean and we felt really at home here. Google Maps doesn’t show the local buses in Nagano so it looks like the venue is harder to get to than it is - if you are arriving at Nagano Station, take bus number 30 to Oka Iriguchi stop and it’s a 10 minute walk from there. We didn’t realise this when we arrived and tried to take a taxi which was quite expensive (although the taxi driver was also very helpful!).
