Perfect stay, on my way on Kumano Kodo. This place is perfectly located to have a one-night stop between Takijiri and Hongu. Ike is a very welcoming host, and speaks very well English! He and his wife are two great cookers, as I had the chance to try their dinner/breakfast/luck box. I truly recommend! Thanks a lot! :)

Very clean and modern, excellent quality amenities were provided. Everything was done with a lot of thought and care. I felt so relaxed to arrive after a long travel day to a place so comfortable. Loved the pajamas too. The owner is also very friendly and accommodating - we went to his restaurant for dinner and the food was amazing and everyone was sooo welcoming

Set just 1.4 km from Shirarahama Beach, ゲストハウス三軒家 features accommodation in Shirahama with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. This is a charming and relaxed guest house not far from the beach. Beautifully renovated and looked after. Our host Mizu spoke perfect English and helped with everything we needed: bicycles, dinner reservations and even booking a massage! Nice relaxed atmosphere in a family setting.

Set in Shingu in the Wakayama region, with Kamikura Shrine and Shingu Castle Ruins Park nearby, くまの蔵inn Warehouse offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He searched and found information for us and even offered to help us make reservations for activities. We stayed here during the winter, but the place was warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed plus free condiments. We would love to stay here again!

Kumano Winery Guest House ligger i Tanabe, 10 km fra Kamitonda Koncertsal og 11 km fra Kozan-ji-templet. Der er have og aircondition. Der er fælles køkken, familievenlig restaurant og udendørs pejs. We had unique experience there. Giovanni and Utaka are very nice and friendly people. They picked us up at the train station with a car which helped a lot. Food was amazing. Giovanni also showed us a goat farm which was very lovely. We recommend this place 100%, you won’t regret it.

Kumano Kodo Nagano Guesthouse ligger i Tanabe, 23 km fra Shirahama Hot Spring, og har have samt værelser med aircondition og gratis WiFi. Der tilbydes concierge-service. This was such a great stay! Simon and Yumiko, the owners of this small Guesthouse are such lovely and inviting people. Simon met us at Kii-Tanabe station at our pre-discussed time, and drove the 25 min to the remote guesthouse. The atmosphere around the property is serene and so quiet, such a good change in pace compared to Osaka! Simon helped us with our Kumano Kodo walking plan, and then the next morning dropped us off at the start of the hike, another 30 min drive away. There’s a small shrine that you can walk to close to the property. There are two guest rooms on property, we were the only ones there, so it wasn’t loud. We had a microwave, fridge, electric kettle and heater/air conditioner unit in our room. They also provide coffee and green tea and cups! Highly recommend!
