Château l'Escale is a very charming place to stay, situated in a calm and well-kept private park. It is located on a hill some 30 mins by bike off the bike route "la Loire a Vélo". It is a tastefully renovated manor house with a heated pool in a covered greenhouse. We were staying there with our kids and had two beautiful rooms with a separate bathroom and a private balcony. All rooms are very clean and nicely renovated. Breakfast is lovely and make sure you ask for the home-made dinner, should you travel by bike (as there are no restaurants nearby). It is also possible to prepare a meal in the guest kitchen. We could leave our bikes in a secured shelter on the premises. The landlord is very nice and helpful and did everything to make our stay an unforgettable experience - thank you so much for your hospitality!

The place is absolutely beautiful with its low wooden ceilings and countryside. Farmhouse feel. We slept really well, everything is really clean, and the host brought us an abundance of food. We were greeted to delicious cookies, baguette, brioche, the next day, and the fridge was filled with delicious homemade jams and an assortment of eggs, juices, milk, butter, everything you would need for delicious French toast, which we had. We were flabbergasted by the hosts kindness. Thank you. The puppy that greeted us outside was really friendly too, and was just begging to play with our daughter.
