The best homestay we had in Sri Lanka. The hosts are the nicest people. The lady made us feel so welcome. They would arrange scooter or loundry or safarii or anything you want. There are only two rooms so the whole stay felt like home. We had the lovely pool for ourselves. Room was big, pretty and clean. Perfect working AC and fun. Location is nice but I would suggest rent a scooter and have a freedom of exploring Sigyryja. However the are few restaurants in walking distance or host can cook for you some dishes as well. Don't hesitate to book it. You will love it.

the guesthouse is close to the center but in a quiet area with a splendid garden and an incredible view of Lions rock and rice fields. There is also a small tree house where you can admire breathtaking sunrises. The room is definitely the cleanest I've had in Sri Lanka, with AC and hot water (both working!), all for rock bottom prices. But the best part is definitely the family, super welcoming and always available, I also did various tours with them and an unforgettable Safari that I highly recommend. The delicious and abundant breakfasts, Surangi is an excellent cook.
