The owner is nice. She showed us some beautiful places when we arrived and drove us to the station when we had to leave.

The host were extremely friendly and tried to speak with me as much as possible, even though I can barely speak any Japanese. The room was a nice traditional style Japanese room with tatami and futon. The breakfast was amazing and probably the most nutritious breakfast I had in my entire life. Furthermore as already mentioned by other people they take you to the local onsen and restaurants by car. Overall a fantastic experience. Be aware: Due to the nature of the house it can get very cold in the room in winter. However the host will give you a heated mattress, an oil heater and multiple blankets to combat the low temperature which worked very well for me.

It was self check in and instructions given before arrival sufficed. Having use of a bike made going round town a lot easier.

The little town radiates peacefullness. And so does this guesthouse. I felt so comfortable and respected here. I was so perfectly treated I just wanted to stay longer. I actually did. And I want to go back. Live at the end of the world again, feel that small measure of peace again.
