Very nicely decorated room and perfect bathroom and facilities overall, as well as great respite from a hot day in the city or the surrounding area. There's a nice restaurant just in front which I could still go to despite our very late check-in, and which stays open throughout most of the day. Breakfast is not included in the price, but the bakery downstairs is really good if you crave some croissants after a few weeks of travelling around South East Asia (it's not cheap, but hey, it's a good Western-style bakery in SE Asia :) ...)

A recently renovated homestay set in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, Ekomo Home - Central Saigon is a 3-star accommodation close to Fine Arts Museum and Takashimaya Vietnam. The most amazing of the stay has to be the staff! Anh the owner is so nice, when I asked for a tailorshop in the neighbourhood to fix my shorts she offered to fix it by herself. Apparently her staff Bi had just completed his first week, but it seemed as if he already worked there for months! Location is great, tucked into an alley but they sent you very clear directions. Next to that everything is very new and they provide you with a direct link of communication so that you can always contact them in case of any inquiries.

Featuring city views, Anam Homestay offers accommodation with balcony, around 300 metres from Fine Arts Museum. Anam was a great little property! Super unique, clean, and in a wonderful location right around the corner from 419, a fantastic little speakeasy bar. If you can book the bigger room, we highly recommend it, but for a few nights the smaller one is fine! This hotel does have traditional Vietnamese mattresses, so if you aren't okay with something firm you may want to shop around. But the property was super cute, clean, and a great base for us!
