Set in Hvolsvöllur, 3.5 km from Seljalandsfoss, Paradise Cave Hostel & Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. This hostel is made in the building of a former old school. That makes it look like a cool and creative maze with beautiful staircase, spacious social area and cozy rooms. Staff is amazing and fun, caring and friendly people who offered free handmade cake to all the guests. It was a delight to stay in Paradise Cave. The kitchen is big and has everything you need to cook decent meals, and also there is a nice waterfall view from the window. Shared bathroom is spacious and clean. Room was comfy and had neat decorations. The spirit of the place is all friendly and youthful, was very refreshing mentally :)

Midgard Base Camp features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Hvolsvöllur. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. I like that it is not your regular party hostel (really don't like those) this place has class! The decor is one of a kind and the staff and amenities are definitely hotel level. It's really cozy which is good after a day of hiking. They have a lot of showers and bathrooms and everything is super clean. Food at the restaurant was marvelous! I asked for the vegan cabbage dish and it blew my mind. Breakfast is worth it, early in the morning you get a wonderful view of the sunrise through the restaurant windows. I'd totally recommend this place for solo travelers, couples or even families (the place is run by the family and friends, everyone is super nice, even the dog is around!)

Situated in Selfoss, 47 km from Ljosifoss, The Coffee House features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The rooms in the hostel are equipped with a coffee machine. the manager was super nice and made us feel at home! it's a very cozy place with plenty pf space

This Icelandic horse farm provides accommodation in Haukadalur Valley, 90 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik. Overlooking Geysir, it offers a guest lounge, garden and horse riding tours. The staff was nice and warm and all the facilities are good. Location is great.

The Barn is located near the village of Vík between the Mýrdalsjölill Glacier and the southern coast of Iceland. This hostel provides free WiFi and complimentary parking on site. Beautiful stay in the barn ! We were in a dorm,they have double beds so a couple can be together. Comfy beds. Lots of showers and toilets, very clean. The bar area and the kitchen are great. Amazing view from the kitchen. Chances to see aurora at night. staff was friendly and helpful. They have a laundry service which is very convenient.

Oh, the place is amazing! I felt in childhood family summer house, where everyone knows you and treats you well. The history of the guesthouse - you can sense it. Very nice place to stay.
