DJANGO Hostel & Lounge in Tanabe provides adults-only accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. Friendly hostel style property. It was spotlessly clean, located right next the to the train and bus stops and had a lovely friendly host.

Set in Nachikatsuura and with Nachi Beach reachable within 1.5 km, WhyKumano offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Breakfast was not part of the arrangement. It was a mixed dormitory and everyone abided by the 10pm lights out protocol, hurray! Facilities were clean, hurray! Todai restaurant next door was great! Thank yOu, Why Kumano!

Kumano Backpackers is located in Tanabe and features a shared lounge and a communal kitchen. Great place! Hongu is a wonderful town. Staff were nice and location next to the Temple was a bonus. Rooms and common facilities were clean. Hostel is well run by a Buddhist monk.

Lovely guesthouse and super friendly staff. Nice little restaurant around the corner and only 5 mins to Train and busstation. Great location to do Kumano Kodo from Nachisan.

Located in Minabe, within 11 km of Kozan-ji Temple and 13 km of Tokei Shrine, みなべゲストハウス provides accommodation with free bikes and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The guesthouses is located in a quiet area of Minabe amidst plum orchards. It is a renovated traditional house of a plum farmer, smells wonderfully of wood and is very peaceful. I had the best stay imaginable here, thanks to the friendly owner, the incredible house and the kind locals living in Minabe.

Okinawa Minshuku Kariyushi offers cosy rooms with free WiFi access just a 4-minute walk from Shirahama Beach. The staff were super nice and the facilities were very neat and clean. Also they had a super powerful AC unit which made going into the room very comfortable.
