It's certainly not for everyone cause you might stay alone in the whole floor of the prison, but if you're into these kind of experiences then the place is amazing! The place's main function is as a museum, not as a hotel, so you have to be aware that you have to leave your cell before 9:00, before the museum opens, which is completely understandable. It's not adverticed, but I also got a private tour of the prison upon my arrival (around 10:00 pm) and the officer/guide/receptionist was amazing! Needless to say, don't expect comfort, expect an experience.

I didn’t understand which room I chose and the reception had an English speaking staff on the phone right away. The property is outside of the center, but all you have to do is take Bus number 22 right in front. It’s super easy. Property is older, but it is kept clean. My bed was so comfortable and they have really nice pillows. Enjoyed my stay and they are very kind people!

Dzīvokļi Dunikas ielā 1 is located in Liepāja and is accessible for people with physical and visual disabilities. Nice lady owner, apartment really ok for the money paid

Featuring a shared lounge, Liepu Hostelis in Liepāja is situated about 300 meters from the lake and close to the Rose Square. Free WiFi is provided. Very big rooms and beds. The staff lady at the reception was super friendly. You even have a kettle in the room. Some reviews say that there is no shower curtains or warm water, this is not true. They have fixed these issues by now. There are shower curtains and you can even lock the shower door to be there alone if needed. I had warm water :)

The Hostel Brize features cosy rooms in a quiet location in the northern part of Liepaja, not far from the sea and the city centre. Close to ferry harbour, easy to find. Friendly staff. Good value for money.
