Located in Punakaiki, 1 km from Punakaiki Scenic Attraction, Punakaiki Beach Hostel has a garden and a terrace. Free WiFi is available. Punakaiki Beach Hostel has a private room called the Sunset Cottage that sits apart from the hostel and is a lovely little cottage that has a small garden with flowers, a view of the ocean, and beach access within steps. It is very close to the Pancake Rocks, but right down on the beach. The scenery is beautiful! The unit has a small refrigerator, dishes and flatware, glasses, tea cups and mugs, and an actual teapot, tea leaves, and a tea ball, which made this tea lover very happy. There is a funky, but charming table and chairs on the front porch for enjoying a supper while watching the sunset. If you want to cook, there is a well equipped kitchen in the hostel. We highly recommend this spot!

Tripinn YHA is the only Westport Hostel without a party bus so you will enjoy a good nights sleep. Just 3 minutes’ walk from Westport main street, Tripinn Hostel Backpackers YHA. Very cool historical building. The hostel is very well organized, great big kitchen. The son of the owner was in charge the days we stayed in the hostel, he was a very kind/great guy! He was super helpful and gave us great recommendations.
