Located in Montevideo, MedioMundo Hostel offers comfortable rooms with free WiFi access. The property is 50 metres from Rodo Square and 300 metres from the coast. I was very impressed with this hostel and have already recommended it to travellers I've met along the road. It was very clean, extremely comfortable beds, large rooms, very open and welcoming common areas, it felt so safe and chill I would go back in a hearbeat. The staff was extremely helpful and so sweet, I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. The wifi is great, the breakfast costs extra but it's a good blend of bread, meat, cheese, oats, and fruits. Again, the whole feel of the place is chill, and very respectful, and it's an excellent location, easy to walk wherever you need or want to.

Since April 1st we moved to a new, more modern, 6-story building located in the Old City, close to the main tourist attractions of the city. I was there in June, the cooler season so it was really calm. The living room with the fire place was very cosy. The place (I mean the hostel itself) is beautiful (the area too). Everything worked, I have no criticisms. Definitely I would stay there again.

Conveniently located in Ciudad Vieja, the old city, the original settlement, it offers plenty of places to walk, ride a bike, and historic museums and monuments, also many nearby stores, convenient stores and parking lots. It offers the casual traveler, the tourist or digital nomads a place to stay at affordable prices.
