Well set in the Hoan Kiem district of Hanoi, Bông Hà Nội hostel is located 1.2 km from Hoan Kiem Lake, 800 metres from Thang Long Water Puppet Theater and 1.4 km from St. Joseph Cathedral. It's the cleanest hostel I've stayed in in all my travels so far. The staff is very kindly and the location is in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.

The property is a really cool old building with high vaulted ceilings, rooms have a nice view of the city around it and some overlook a pagoda. Owners were unbelievably nice and had the BEST authentic recommendations for places to eat in the surrounding area.

The property is close to St. The guys at the reception and tour desk are amazing! They have a solution /answer for absolutely everything! Also, the tour for the ha giang loup and the street food tour that they are advertising are really good! I highly recommend those (if in doubt, book the ha giang loop instead of Sa Pa). Also the beds are really comfortable and have a curtain. The breakfast is good and the pool is nice for refreshing after a long hot day.

The property is around 1.4 km from St. Great location, fantastic staff, reasonable facilities, great rooftop vibes, fantastic breakfast, one hour of free beer every day (which is more than what most hostels do - some only deliver one keg), and a very very very good social vibe on the rooftop in the evenings. Honestly I think this is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, in all of Vietnam. It’s in the old quarter and close to all the eating places and the sights. This place was home to me.
