Set in Lewisburg, 40 km from Beartown State Park, Thomas Rose Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This inn is in an old building that has been renovated but left with it's immense charm! The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, the temperature control was easy to use and managed temperature well. The bathroom was spacious and contained a large shower. The room was bright when you wanted the light, with windows facing two different directions, and dark when you wanted to close things up. We loved the "old world" feel and charm of the common area as well as the room itself. We never actually did a face to face with the staff but check-in and check-out was super easy with excellent instructions for access. Paula provided excellent communications and responded immediately by text whenever we checked with her.

Offering mountain views in a natural setting, Mountain Quest Inn is on a 450 acre farm in Frost, West Virginia, 13.7 km south of Dunmore, West Virginia, via Route 92. The breakfast was pretty standard for a hotel in this price range, but I like that they switched up the hot option the two days that we stayed! The drive to Snowshoe, which was the main reason for our stay; was not bad at all! It was about 35 minutes to get to the parking lot at the top of the mountain. The amenities at MQI are awesome, although there is no Wi-Fi or cell service, my fiancé and I enjoyed the time to unplug and destress, which is exactly what we needed at the time. They have a library room full of books and DVDs (DVD players are in the rooms), along with tours of the properties and animals that are very friendly. Zee Zee the cat is our favorite! The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. If you’re an astronomy fan the green bank telescope is a short drive north.

The hotel was clean, good value for money, and conveniently close to the highway. There were plenty of good places to eat walking distance from the hotel and the breakfast provided was great.

The Quality Inn New River is minutes from the New River Gorge Bridge and outdoor recreational activities like golfing, hunting, fishing, rock climbing and white water rafting at New River Gorge... Convenience for the trip and perfect for our dog. Location was very accessible.😊 Restaurant and staff were very accommodating.
