Offering an indoor pool and a restaurant, Peace Lodge is located a 1-hour drive from San Jose in Vara Blanca. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. The room was amazing with a ridiculously epic view and a jacuzzi in the balcony too! Our bathroom was just incredible with a bath, a shower and a separate waterfall shower. The view and location is breathtaking. It’s secluded enough to make you feel slightly off the grid and the scenery is beautiful. There are some amazing plants to see and plenty of humming birds flying around that make the experience magical. Whoever designed this hotel has put a lot of thought into detail and must have loved nature. There are waterfalls at the property which cannot be missed.

Set in San Jerónimo in the Heredia region and La Sabana Metropolitan Park reachable within 19 km, Mountain Lodge CheTica offers accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a terrace and free private... it was a beautiful property with lovely rooms. very cute and very clean.

With La Selva Biological Station reachable in 2.6 km, Gran Gavilán del Sarapiquí Lodge offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. The grounds of the lodge are beautiful - there are many beautiful flowers and lots of different birds -- it is a birdwatcher's paradise. The cabins have nice decks with comfortable chairs as well as a large central viewing deck with hammocks and comfortable chairs. The staff was were welcoming and spoke excellent English. They went above and beyond any expectations when my friend became ill and had to go to the local clinic. The owner of the lodge drove us to the clinic and stayed with our friend the whole time, translating and ensuring he got his proper medications. We are so grateful.

With garden views, Selva Verde Lodge is situated in Sarapiquí and has a restaurant, a tour desk, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. - The hotel is inside a huge tropical forest - Nice Italian restaurant - Very nice tour organized in the hotel - You can pay everything at the end and with credit card (without asking for 5% more)

This lodge is set in the Tirimbina Nature Reserve and 2 km from De la Virgen Park. It features free Wi-Fi, an extensive garden and a furnished terrace. Amazing! Very cosy place, exceeded our expectations (after reading some sceptical reviews)! It is a very comfortable, tranquile, lots of nature around you, wonderful people, working at it. We also liked the tours and the restaurant (and very kindhearted ladies in it :) p.s. try to "use" the time before and after the tourists "from outside the gate" come (evening and morning, before 9-10 a.m.). It is not becoming too crowdy, but before this you have a feeling of being "nearly alone in a beautiful nature". After this you can enjoy a wonderful terrace, where we saw many nice birds and beautiful frogs.

With garden views, Chilamate Rainforest Eco Retreat is situated in Puerto Viejo and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden and terrace. It was stunning. The rooms were more like apartments. The staff were wonderful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious.
