Beautiful location with exceptional rooms, spaces and the most helpful and friendly staff out of all the places I stayed. Amazing food and ambiance. Contemporary and eclectic. Staying at Holmen Husky is an experience far away from staying at an ordinary hotel. We want our guests to get closer to nature and to get a taste of what it is like to live close to the elements. Holmen Husky was the highlight of our month long trip. From sleeping in lavu to the food to the wonderful dogs that wait for you to walk past and rub their tummies. The staff are exceptional with a special shout out to Tess who fit us in for the amazing husky sledding and Wico for his amazing food. I cannot recommend this place enough. We even watched the Aurora from our bed! A great place for kids too....

10 km from Alta City and 500 metres from Alta River lies Trasti & Trine Boutique Hotel. Surrounded by forest, the location offers good hiking, skiing and biking trails straight from the cottage door. Excellent boutique hotel with spacious cabins in a pine forest. The self-service breakfast is just splendid. The setting is quiet, while still just about 15 minutes away from Alta. Our cabins had large observation decks that are oriented to the most common direction of northern lights. (Not all cabins are equipped with this, tough).

It is nestled in a beautiful valley in a remote part of Northern Norway, on the edge of a national park. We loved being totally surrounded by nature. The lodge is very comfortable and well maintained. Plus a hot tub on the roof! The restaurant wasn't open when we were there because there weren't enough people, but we actually loved being able to cook for ourselves. Overall it was a really unique and amazing stay. Huge thank you to Roar for making us feel so welcomed!
