And even we planned to arrive after reception opening time, dani and Mark left us all the info in a customised piece of paper. Very nice and welcomed. Stopforths Motel features spacious and luxurious accommodation just 450 metres from the centre of Hokitka. Opening in 2018, guests can admire the Southern Alps views or the stars on an astronomy tour.... This is a family run motel with very friendly and informative owners. It looks like you are pulling into someone's home, but the motel is hidden behind. The room was large and lovely with a full kitchen, and even had a jacuzzi. The beds were super comfortable. The town of Hokatika is a seaside gem with beach walks and colorful rocks. The town is small enough to walk about, but large enough to have all the services available and interesting shops.

This is an amazing property. One of the highlights of our trip as far as accommodation is concerned. We were to stay here for Christmas Eve and the hosts (Pam and Peter) made sure to advise us well in time to prepare for our stay in Franz Josef as being holiday most shops around would be closed. It's a fantastic, well maintained and extremely clean property
