It's a one minute slow walk to the sea/beach, there's a large grocery across the street and you are in the middle of the village with authentic Garifuna restaurants all around as well as other choices. The host goes above and beyond to help you with anything or any advice you need for your travels. And they are just just overall wonderful people. The value is fantastic if you are able to book directly as some other guests did. If not, it is still a very good value. My single room did not get much natural light. I spent more time indoors than expected because of heavy rain so, if I was there more than a week I would choose one of the brighter rooms. Though during normal rains the fabulous rooftop patio provides good shelter. I was there for six nights and would highly recommend Crash Pad and Adventure Hostel.

Offering an outdoor pool and a seafront restaurant, Mariposa Belize Beach Resort is located right on the beach in Placencia. Everything about this property was great. super friendly staff, immaculately kept grounds, super clean. far enough from the business of Placencia to be relaxing and quiet, yet close enough to go by bike or rented golf cart.

My friends and I stayed at the 2 bedroom villa with the pool....the property is so beautiful!!! I was worried about the check-in process, but as soon as we arrived, someone was on site to greet us. I think it was the maintenance guy....he was very helpful! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, but we did not use it. The villa was spotless, and housekeeping came daily if you needed them too. They even did our laundry for us. The villa is across the street from the beach.....which we had to ourselves. Getting to town was easy too.....we used Wally's Taxi. He was always available to pick us up and drop us off. We had an issue with hot water and as soon as I notified the property manager, she responded right away and maintenance was at the villa shortly after to fix the problem. I really enjoyed my time at the villa!!! I would go back in a heartbeat!
